We’re excited to premiere the B side from Horizons Sauvages, a new ambient album from Australian-born artist @deejaydugong

Originally written for the exhibition of painter Marie-Laurence de Chauvingy de Blot, Horizons Sauvages is a testament to a shared love of nature. A musical accompaniment for the season of Spring, “Thaw” captures the transitional motion of this environmental rebirth. Through natural sound pallets and layered loops, Dugong explores the complex bio-poetics of the ecosystem; sometimes we can hear the snow melting. Horizons Sauvages sounds like a daffodil - a spot of colour in a field of grey, delicate, though resilient and joyful.

I made this mix as a soundtrack for cruising around San Francisco delivering wine to saucy customers who tip well and love getting down to a groove. This month’s program is a special one, celebrating the reissue of Industry & Leisure by Australian artist David Chesworth, on sister label BFE Records. For this special occasion Abstrakce hosts David himself as a special guest. Between 1979 and 1983 David Chesworth used to run with Philip Brophy "Innocent", a small record label releasing their own music, among other material. Enjoy this "Innocent" special, introduced in the first hour by Gamelán Psíquico with some experimental-mutant-pop tracks.
