“My friends Russ, Phil and I have been collecting lots of dub, roots, lovers and dancehall records for our Tuff Shed parties. Sometimes it feels like all of those styles are kinda the same thing, and sometimes it feels like they are all drastically different — like how a Chihuahua an Airedale and a St. Bernard are all dogs. With this mix, I wanted to avoid fixating on the stylistic differences, and string them all together in a way that made sense. Its like a reggae dog park. Side note, I also wanted to finally put this “Voices of the Loon” record to use.

For the larger half, Darone has invited good friends @danilo-plessow and @hugo-lx on the guest section of the show. The final 80 minutes features Danilo and Hugo going back to back, recorded earlier this year at La Bellevilloise for their “Free Your Funk” party. They will be back at the venue in Paris next month, January 2024, for yet another edition of “Free Your Funk.”
