Nez Senja, now also known as Helios XL, draws inspiration from a diverse palette of influences, reflecting his belief in the timeless quality of music. A range of sound and style is evident in his music selection, which resonates with a wider audience. 

Nez Senja has been a mainstay in Singapore’s nightlife circuit for over a decade since 2010, while playing one-off DJ sets in Bangkok, Bali, Hong Kong, Manila, Milan, New York, Kuala Lumpur & Shenzhen. His style oscillates between rocking a club dancefloor and mixing lower-tempo beats for brand activations and special events. 

Online, he’s curated mixes on digital platforms of music/lifestyle brands such as Blast Radio, Mixmag Asia, Bangkok Community Radio, Singapore Community Radio, Ice Cream Sundays, See You At One, Café Kitsuné and The Lot Radio (Brooklyn), including a mix featured on Resident Advisor’s Mix Of the Day series in October 2021. 

The Helios XL alias emerged in 2023, and a more focused sound graced the inaugural Sunda Festival in September, and more recently, Keep Hush Live Singapore in 2024, supported by Carhartt WIP.

Nez Senja deals in pushing high-quality alternative music. From the raw sounds of Jungle-D&B to retro-futuristic head-nodding Hip Hop and essential forays into House, Techno, Electronica, Dub, Afrobeat, Funk, Soul, and Jazz, his music appeals to a diverse sub-cultural audience.

As a DJ, Nez Senja now appears on event billings as different aliases for a variety of styles and genres:
