Deviant UK is a dark electronic act formed in 2005 with two successful albums 'Barbed Wire Star' (2006) and 'Very.Bad.Things.' (2011). Their sound is distinctive, instantly accessible and straddles the genres of industrial rock, goth and EBM.

Acknowledged to be one of the leaders of the UK's dark alternative scene, mainman Jay Smith has toured the band perpetually throughout Mainland Europe and the USA.

Signed to WTII Records in North and South America, Smith recently signed a new (as yet undisclosed) deal for Europe for the release of the highly-anticipated third Deviant UK album 'In.Your.Face.' scheduled for late 2014.

One time guitarist, programmer & scruffy git in various dodgy bands now moonlighting as a lecturer, forensic audio & video analyst geek, sound engineer/producer and occasionally, when time allows, back to musician again ;) Here's my collated bits of noise, in various genres, remixes & mashups, assembled from piles of hard drives and loosed into the wild. These are (mostly) excerpts of things that didn't make the cut, works in progress or technical projects (such as generative composition or modular synthesis) - so rather than whole tracks think of it more like a online mixtape of ideas. 

Weapons of choice include Ableton Live, NI Reaktor & U-he Zebra with a large pile of real outboard to offset an even bigger plugin folder, a Fender P and one classic early 70's Gibson SG...
