For Christmas 2021: This is my take on the classic Christmas hymns, “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and "Joy to the World."  I decided to take a different approach this year, and I can't exactly pinpoint the genre.  It's a bit dance, its a bit pop, it's a bit 90's retro... and then the sax, which intersperses bits of melody from "Carol of the Bells' throughout, brings something else different to the mix.  I've been listening to Song For Denise, Cold Heart, and bits of the new ABBA album, and I think you may hear some of those influences come through. The sax parts were once again played by my friend Chase Replogle. Other than that, I played, sang, or programmed all the parts myself in Logic Pro. So, enjoy and have a Merry Christmas!

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen / Joy to the World

This is my take on the Christmas carol, "Angels we have heard on high." I was going for a somewhat early 1960's feel - so a bit of a Phil Spector wall of sound, some vaguely beach boys style harmonies, and too much reverb throughout... plus some classy sax played by my friend Chase Replogle.

Angels We Have Heard On High

For Christmas 2019: This is my take on the classic Christmas song, "(Christmas) Baby Please Come Home." I was going for a wall of sound, lots of layered background vocals, and too much reverb throughout... with the addition of some sax played by my friend Chase Replogle.

(Christmas) Baby Please Come Home

For Christmas 2020: This is my take on the classic Christmas song, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." There are so many beautiful and melancholy versions of this song, and those are great, but in light of this year, I wanted to make a version that would be a bit more upbeat and optimistic.  
Once again, I was going for a wall of sound effect… sort of Spector meets Manilow meets mid-60’s Dean Martin.  The sax parts were played by my friend Chase Replogle. Other than that, I played, sang, or programmed all the parts myself in Logic Pro - so, you can either give me credit or blame depending on how you feel about it!
