Hi, this is my first ever composition and fourth thing produced, also using logic pro for the first time (gone are the FL studio days, Logic is much better for me). 

Music composition created, produced and mastered by myself as a bit of fun. A deviation from house music. 

Moody strings starting off mainly in cellos, moving onto plucked violins, and then staccato violins. The pan is aligned somewhat to an orchestra; violin, 2nd, violin, cello, double bass.
Then hits a soft acoustic guitar, followed by an in your face slap style double bass to kick things back up again. Piano enters, some bars using sub bass, and then strings come back in with some nice timpani additions. Everything kicks together, and ends calm with the piano and the panned percussion to wrap things up 

Wasn't sure of title or photo, everything I thought up was falling pretty pretentious, like forests, the sea, space, which I wanted to avoid. But then lost creative interest I'm afraid, so chose a picture of a forest

I also could not think of a good title, so there we go - a song in a, because it is a minor..

I'm pretty proud because it took so long and wanted to wrap things up in various stages along the way. It was my first play with logic pro too and on a mac, so getting used to that. And I think the mixing and mastering was an big improvement compared to the avicii remix I did.
If your into production, would be keen to hear any constructive criticism so I can improve going forward.

Please listen on some sound system and not through white iphone headphones / lap top, there is a whole movement of bass and sub bass I put in there for you!

Some things about you - Free download

Hey, this is my second original orchestral composition, 6th ever production. 

Everything is made from scratch, including the female vocals (keyboard notes) i.e. the vocals are NOT REAL : )

If there are questions I will answer them for you in this section. I use logic pro, Omnisphere which I just bought and is fantastic, and Kontakt. Mixing and mastering done by myself using logic's plug ins.

Overall I'm proud of this piece and happy with the outcome, I think it sounds clear and evokes emotion. 
There was a lot of automation throughout the strings and vocal parts to make them sound as realistic and as dynamic as I could make them. A tip, I discovered adding reverb and turning down the dry output percentage a little made it sound like a cello or violin section, rather than one instrument playing in a hall (as Kontakt is individual sounds, not orchestral). 

This composition has a theme. It is dark, it is actually an Aztec sacrifice. The first half is the cinematic visual of the walk towards the pyramid, then the walk up as the music intensifies and repeats in a chanting manner, by making the vocals staccato. 
It then ends with a knife cut, a hit on the floor (either knife dropped or head), and the end part which is the overwhelming realisation of what has happened, now in the past and unchangeable. 

The reason this is called pyramid of the moon, is because of the aztec sacrifice theme, it is the name of the second largest pyramid in Mexico performing the rituals where blood was shed for the gods. Not every person sacrificed was a victim against their will, it was thought to be an honor, as some were bound suggesting resistance and others not. I don't musically envision any struggle in this piece from the person who is being killed, but from those close watching on. That is the reason for the intensity, as they witness this.
It was my dad who chose the name. I'm so happy he is a supporter and follower of my music, and thought it was a great suggestion.

Please listen through a hi-fi or some headphones that aren't iPhone ones, there is a whole cello and bass section that is required for this piece to come through for your enjoyment : )

Vocal patch is from Omnisphere, mainly called Classical Soprano Ohs, but a couple other Soprano ones used too for variation

After all the banging instrumentals it’s time to deal with some vocal trance tracks, don’t you think? Our newest vocal release comes from Triplane, a progressive trance project by Serbian trio that was founded back in 2011, but only now we’re seeing a daylight of their first productions.

Their debut release ‘Fade Away’ features vocals by Juli, who’s voice complements this production so graciously that you wonder why you haven’t heard this angelic voice before? Beneath of that, Triplane delivered a cutting edge progressive trance instrumental with pounding beats and electrifying leading synths that add that much needed club feel to it.

To reach the perfection, they composed an overly emotional piano melody that is released in the breakdown adding its memorable key ingredient, and right there you know why we still call this genre, trance, as it will put you exactly in that state of a mind.
