Other People is a record label started in New York City in 2013 by Nicolás Jaar. In its 10 years of existence, it has featured the sonic work of over 70 music releases, highlights include Terepa (2015), a "telepathic" collaboration helmed by Kohei Matsunaga (aka NHK’Koyxen) featuring Rashad Becker, Charlotte Collin, Lucrecia Dalt, Laurel Halo, Julia Holter, Grégoire Simon and Kohei himself, Caves (2021), a compilation of silences featuring Laraaji, Aho Ssan, Ana Quiroga and more, Weavings (2022), a collaborative live piece with Juliana Huxtable, Ellen Fullman, Wukir Suryadi and Rully Shabara of Senyawa, Angel Bat Dawid and others. The label has also put out the 1990 spoken word piece "Conspiracy of Women" (2015) by Lydia Lunch, as well as Tomaga & Pierre Bastien's collaborative album entitled Bandiera di Carta (2019) and Lucrecia Dalt's Esotro / Veta release (2014) with remixes by William Basinski and John Wall. It has also featured the likes of Magdalena Dàugosz, Barbara Zawadzka, Bernadetta Matuszczak, Krzysztof Knittel, Bogusław Shaeffer, Saint Abdullah, Eomac, Dienne, Charbel Haber, Okokon, Against All Logic, FKA Twigs, Darkside, Nicolás Jaar and others.  It has featured the visual work of Maziyar Pahlevan, Africanus Okokon, Zofia Kulik, Jena Myung, Charbel Haber, Abeera Kamran and Somnath Bhatt among others. The label’s current contract states that an artist on the label owns all their rights and decides the full percentage of the revenue they wish to make from their releases on the label, after recoupment. Any of the label’s profit gets given out to artists in forms of grants, workshop and educational initiatives. The label has collaborated in this form with more than three dozen exceptional organizations and individuals in the past three years. Although the label works not-for-profit, it is not a registered non-profit.

About Yung Felix:
Felix Laman, a.k.a. Yung Felix, belongs to the absolute top of music producers in the Netherlands. Yung Felix gained recognition in his early years as a producer, particular- ly known for incorporating unique trap sounds into his tracks (collaborating with artists like Yellow Claw). In 2017, his tracks caught the attention of DJs and were heard in clubs all over the Netherlands. The year 2018 marked an international hit for him with the track ‘Loco,’ which he released in collaboration with Poke & Dopebwoy, the song has garnered nearly 80 million streams on Spotify.

A New Sound
After dominating the urban scene for years and the the birth of his first child, a quest for a new artistic challenge led Yung Felix to experiment with different genres. Seeking in- spiration from the club scene, he found himself drawn to the increasingly popular house sound. Last year, he collaborated with French superstars DJ Snake and Malaa on the single “Deep,” which served as the initial hint of his new direction. With the releases of “I Need You” and “I’m Drunk” Yung Felix took the next step in embracing this fresh style.

Burning Down The House
Yung Felix released his EP titled “Burning Down the House” on the 13th of October, just be- fore the Amsterdam Dance Event. This project, which he had worked on for an extended period, has been well-received. Furthermore, “Burning Down the House” is evolving into a brand under Felix’s name, encompassing events, merchandise, and other ventures.

Simon Morris has been a dj for more than ten years now and has built quite a resume in those years. He also is the promoter of KrancK. A very well known techno/house concept in the Netherlands which has been up and running since april 2009. 

As an experienced dj and promoter he has a distinguished feeling about how to please his audience. He can adapt to different styles and playing times in the techno/tech house/deep house music and therefore enjoys his opening sets just as much as his closing sets. 

Which ever style...there will always be some kind of funk and melodie in is his sets. Only if the crowd(big or small) is dancing/moving in some way, he will have a great time aswell. So this will always be his purpose.

Tom Trago – one of the leading lights of the Dutch electronic music underground, who defined the house and electronica sound of Amsterdam like few others. He is a globe-trotting DJ, producer, live performer and label owner who enjoys nothing more than championing both overlooked gems and fresh sounds from his own country. Tom Trago held residencies at renowned Amsterdam institutions Trouw and De School and name any prestigious festival or clubs worldwide – pretty sure he’s played there.

He once claimed that he felt a physical need to make music every day, and it’s hard to think of anyone whose immersion in music is quite as complete. Tom Trago is known for his versatility across electronic music genres, deep beats and grooves, and remixes for giants such as Depeche Mode. His genre-blurring sound and unique style have made him an influential figure in the world of electronic music.

The thing you have to understand about Magnetron Music is that it is almost like a family business. The company was founded by two people who have been friends since long before they started the label and mostly releases music by a close-knit group of cross-collaborating artists /musicians / oddballs from the Netherlands.
