They have delivered a peak time remix of &#8220;Transition&#8221; that has been tested many times by Christian and always rocks the the house. Next up for remix duties is Sebastien Leger. Sebastien infused a healthy dosage of Detroit techno and UR (Underground Resistance) style jazz for his remix of &#8220;Tower&#8221;. Truly original and very cool! The last remix of this pack is courtesy of Dosem. He remixed &#8220;Vision&#8221; using his trademark sounds and lots of energy the way we are used to from him. Feedback essential!</p>

Tale Of Us @ Time Warp 2014

There are certain tracks which you have to feel in your stomach first. “Bulldozer” (A1) is one of them. While the last Moon Harbour singles offered some hit potential when looking closely enough, it’s obvious this time in Tanzmann’s first single in about a year. “Bulldozer” is the equivalent to Matthias Tanzmann’s highly active DJ-schedule: It puts the vibe of his DJ sets into seven minutes – the groove, the tense atmosphere, this slowly releasing of an acid line. That surely is no stuff for couch potatoes! Play it loud and you’ll have no further questions… 

And finally, we succeeded in having Jena’s most favourite and long-time label friend Robag Wruhme do a remix for Moon Harbour. He’s not only the king of basslines but digs the message of the originals given to him as well – a fact that is no secret anymore. His awesome “Moosmutzel-Remix” (B1) grabs the small melodic pieces of the bulldozer and makes a melancholic rave hymn out of it, which is somewhat lugubrious despite its perfect breaks and astonishingly detailed work. Robag Wruhme rules even with a tear in his eye, that’s quite admirable. 

This kind of winter mood is visible in “Still like it like that” (B2) even more. It’s a classic deep house track that obviously bows humbly in the direction of Detroit. 

We still like it like that. And we hope you’ll do, too.

Recondite marks his return to Hotflush with the epic, potentially summer-defining 'Caldera' and a sequel to his 2012 hit 'DRGN'. The Bavarian artist has undergone a dazzling rise since that time, and one which is reflected in the increasing opulence of his music.

'Caldera', with its dramatic arpeggios and crescendos, is unabashed big-field decadence. Bearing all the hallmarks on which he's made his name - space, subtlety, build, attention to timbre - over the course of 9 minutes it raises the temperature to white heat. 'DRGN 2' picks up exactly where its 2012 namesake left off; that is, with an arching melody played out over droning tones of insidious intent. Dark, imposing and elegant - this is Recondite at his most wicked.

The hypnotic momentum of the night passes to the hands of DJ Three as light begins to fill sky and the new day creeps ever closer.  For forty breathless minutes we wait… until at last the sun breaks over the horizon, and a collage of verbal musings, psychedelia and ornate music fills the air.  Toying with echoes and teasing with nuance, shutters fluttering to capture the fleeting moment…a moment not soon forgotten for those who were lucky enough to be there, at sunrise on Sunday, Black Rock City, Burning Man, 2014.   And then, just as easily as we are led into that place, a whole movement of sound and energy returns the dance floor.

Since 2011, he has made his mark on imprints from the likes of Rejected, Leena, Cecille, and most recently, on Saved with his current hit, "Let It Go". Now, London based Tech House DJ and producer, Ross Evans, delivers a fresh sound on Mobilee Records with the release of his two-sider, "Deep Water", wrapping up the Summer 2014 pool season as we know it. Touring Europe on Carl Craig's side, his name may ring a few bells, but Evans is more than a sidekick. His upbeat and deep piece, "Part Of The Dream" was featured in the November 2013 edition of Nic Fanciulli Presents Worldwide Sounds while "Let It Go" was the 36th most charted track in July 2014 by Resident Advisor DJs.
On a more familiar note, Evans made a splash at the Mobilee Pool party series at Hotel Santos Beach Club in Ibiza this summer while his two-tracker brilliantly worked its way to becoming mobilee's 136 release. The A-side presents "Deep Water" featuring the lovely AYA while "Tonic" is written all over the B-side.

Following our good friend Lee Burridge past the sunset and well into the day as sandstorms whipped past us in the background we stood amongst friends and strangers (who are just friends we’ve yet to meet) and we danced and celebrated together, participating in the beauty of a shared moment that can only be held in our memories as a mere shadow of what we truly experienced… What an honor to be part of it all. A big thank you to everyone who helped make that moment happen.

Already a classic, Slam’s Azure single is tackled head-on by the all-powerful Black Dog.  The deep and industrial textures of original version are expanded and given a swift bpm upgrade, along with potent drum patterns and two earth-shaking basslines!
The Black Dog’s split personality shines through in this remix as the warm, resonant and almost ambient sounds are combined with heavy-set percussion and swells of atmosphere. This remix shows why they’re one the most influential figures in the British Electronica scene.

After a successfully released Radio Scarecrow LP, The Black Dog produced another outstanding album, Further Vexations with a more dance-floor influenced approach. CCTV Nation is a track from that album that looks back to the Detroit golden years. It couldn’t have been a better decision for SLAM to pick this record for remix. For a duo that have always taken influence from Motor City, it is apt for them to turn out this stripped back and grooving, yet still powerful approach to the Black Dog’s original.

This record shows how you have to look back to move forward.

Bits & Pieces kicks off 2010 with two fresh new tracks from label founders the 16 Bit Lolitas. Dark, brooding and tribal, opener ‘The Red Road’ is a typically low-slung number ideal for working into the early stages of a set.

Slam’s huge 2007 track ‘Azure’ with its idiosyncratic patch and pumping rhythm seems the perfect material for some unique remixing. These efforts by Carl Craig and Kink certainly don’t disappoint bringing both ideological and musical reshaping of the track to create two very different and equally powerful tracks. 

Carl Craig’s C2 remix takes on the ever-popular track in his legendary, inimitable style. Craig merges the melody and speeds it up making it a central part of the dynamic of the track. Fluidity and the hint of velocity give good movement to the track. This balanced setting is interrupted as the bass and heavy rhythmic shift emerge out of nowhere and the impact of the bass drum here is even greater than that of the original as the track builds in this extended version.  The strings and effects interact differently and all aspects help to sculpt a formidable variation.

The effect of Kink’s remix is one of a rougher, darker power. The pounding beat hits from the outset and the whole sound becomes more intense. Industrial effects almost tear through the track helping to concentrate a raw energy within all aspects of the sound. Again the progression speeds up dramatically with heavy bass kicking in just after the halfway point and powering through the track as the almost robotic samples add ideological adhesion to the track. The intricacy of samples and effects balances perfectly the dark power of this great remix.
