Antimata (ann-tee-mah-ta), formed early 2015 in the Byron hinterland are a melodic, heavy and progressive rock band with an unmistakable atmospheric feel.

Boasting a huge sound for a four piece band, Antimata draws influence from the likes of Karnivool, Incubus and Soundgarden.

Driven by Stewart Hume's soulful bass and monster drums by the animal himself, Ned Cain, Antimata will take you on a heart felt journey with their music, coloured by sweeping melodies and finger blistering solo’s from guitarist Tim Gallaway and glued together with narration from Bart Easdown’s powerful voice and impressive vocal range.

Antimata will ever so gently guide you to the top of the mountain and then out of nowhere kick you off of the steepest cliff.

In less than twelve months this handsome man-child has begun establishing quite a name for himself.

Constantly sharing the stage with frequent collaborator and local legend Nastaij, in the first half of 2014 Bart has been blessed with opening spots for Mind Over Matter, Alison Wonderland and Yeo, with the latter giving Chasin it's first rotation on national radio by selecting it as one of his top 5 tracks as a JJJ Unearthed guest presenter.

Currently in the process of writing and recording his first solo EP, Mr. Vandelay has big plans for the future and a few tricks up his sleeve.

HOLLWAY is a family affair, signed in 2014 by German label Plasmapool and fronted by producer/composer Simon Hollway, a former DJ whose residencies include Heaven and Paradise Factory and international appearances from Rio de Janeiro to the Berlin Love Parade. 

Since then we've also had original releases on TRXX, Suicide Robot, 5howtime, Matrix, Kinky Trax, Zelection, Astir, Infinite Resistance and Amathus Music. Our greatest achievement was charting one spot above One Direction in the US Dance Charts. Despite our management persistently reaching out to them, none of One Direction's members were interested in the intimate mentorship we were more than willing to offer. 

We've also appeared on dozens of best-selling compilation albums, some with our consent, mostly not. The music industry is funny like that.

None of us can dance.

2025 has been a big year thus far as we returned to the studio after an extended break. We've managed to knock out 4 UK Official Top Ten chart hits since January, as published by Music Week, with hopefully another couple in our back pockets.
