'In the State of Emergency' was made in memory of Kenji Eno, one of Talachan’s favourite composers and game designers, author of "D2" survival horror game released only on Sega Dreamcast in 1999/2000. The exhausting journey of the main character inspired the album.

This is the first "dedicated" mix after a very long break recorded by the Wrocław DJ and @regime-brigade member Jakub Walczak, hiding under the pseudonym PLAL. The selection is based on what he listened to and played over the last two years. He claims that it certainly does not fully reflect the character of all his musical inspirations, but it seems to be the right answer to what inspires him lately: broken rhythm and more or less complex sound structures. This collage consists of the numbers of producers such as: Nunu, Piezo, Otik, Lamont, M.E.S.H. or Akkord, so it's easy to deduce that, in this case, their common denominator is bass ... Guess why % -)

Jest to pierwszy "dedykowany" miks po bardzo długiej przerwie nagrany przez  wrocławskiego DJa i regime'owca Jakuba Walczaka kryjącego się pod pseudonimem PLAL. Znalazły sie na nim pozycje, których dużo słuchał i grał przez ostatnie dwa lata. Twierdzi, że na pewno nie oddaje w pełni charakteru jego wszystkich muzycznych inspiracji, ale wydaje się celną odpowiedzią na to co go inspiruje ostatnimi czasy: czyli połamany rytm i mniej lub bardziej skomplikowane struktury dźwiękowe. Na ten kolaż składają sie numery takich producentów jak: Superfície, Piezo, Otik, Lamont, M.E.S.H. czy Akkord, wiec łatwo można wywnioskować ze w tym przypadku wspólnym mianownikiem jest bas... hæra is the alias of Oskar Szczepański, BAS.KOLEKTYW founder, DJ and producer living in Warsaw, Poland and Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. Mixing his love for the over the top, brutal rave sounds, post-metal guitars, experimental rap vocals and awkward sense of humour, the emperor is a no-nonsense 3 track EP that is probably our most club-ready release to date. Starting with the industrial techno gallop of the title track, through the metal footwork monster that is the fool and the extremely noisy drum tool the chariot, hæra leaves you with no space to breathe.

Physical copies of the EP are available for pre-order – mixed media prints, limited edition of 14 pairs of major arcana tarot cards, designed by Lloyd Clipston, a visual artist based in London. Cards are sent randomly and provide you with divination for your own interpretation.

BAS.METAL is a conceptual mixtape recorded in late 2018 by artists creating with and within BAS.KOLEKTYW. The artistic direction of the release was dictated solely by the motive of METAL - understood in any way the artists wanted to. The goal of this freedom was to enable artists to interpret the subject in personal and wildly different ways, which was exactly what has occurred. The resulting collection of tracks is a stylistically diverse release, that further proves genres are largely obsolete, a point that DJs of the collective have already proven time and time again, and joyfully reminds us that electronic music is still an incredibly exciting medium to explore. From the Lamborghini-fast, sleek electro of Poly Chain, through corroded acid voyages of engmt and mount terror (Kobra), cold-steel soundscapes of hæra and nadziej, to data-moshed growls sampled by Michał Dębski and the choral metalcore SPEED DATING bass cannon, it all creates an impossible futuristic metallic landscape that's as scary as it is exciting, baller, and club-ready.

Metal became the leading theme because of a couple of factors. For one, it was nostalgia. Metal music was a major influence on most of us: we played in thrash and post-metal bands, lurked last.fm for the most brutal and in-your-face music imaginable and went to gigs to return home barely able to hear. However, this is not a nostalgic release. What we keep from the past is the admiration for the extreme, and the word "metal" served here as a vessel containing this meaning, along with being a simple conceptual binder. BAS.METAL is a successful experiment proving that the extreme births creativeness. And at BAS we do not value anything more than new, fresh shit, and we are completely sure this is exactly what we are offering.

After appearances in the labels Polish Juke and assemblyline, hæra and distope are back with a collaborative LP on BAS titled light pollution. Combining distope’s academic sound design background with hæra’s abstract vision of footwork, light pollution is an unusual album of juke grooves pulsating under ambient textures and dubbed out samples. While strongly rooted in footwork music, the record mostly avoids the genre’s usual dancefloor associations and instead offers a minimalist, meditative experience more suited for an introspective listening session than the club. light pollution is also the first and only longplaying release from the label in 2020.
