Extending on his first ep YAKKA, KWON-9 blurs the line between the synthetic and the organic while pushing the Brussels-based producer’s interest in uneven grooves and mixed meters into sharper detail. @glassz - for over 4 years he has been exploring the freshest non-club and club forms of unconventional electronic music on Radio LUZ in Burn The Roots programme, which style he transfers to dynamic dj sets equally often reaching for techno, ambient, dnb or dubstep. However, he derives the most fun from playing the tangled, imagination-inducing sounds, which can not be directly captured or described by a single tag.

The mix for Acidtropicalia contains the widest palette of sounds you've heard him in so far. Broken sounds, a lot of musical space and a focus on sounds that are the quintessence of underground club music.

Warsaw-based HALOPOPIERDOL collective (@halkoooo) debuts in our mix series with a set from dj, producer and bassist @darnokkk. He initially entered the world of electronic and club music as a fan of hip hop, punk, metal, hardcore as well as jazz and funk. His productions now mostly revolve around techno, breaks, electro and experimental music. Darnok's mixing style is characterised by a clash of club sounds and hip hop and often incorporates turntablist techniques such as scratching – which marks a first for BAS.PODCAST.
