With the unprecedented ability to feel a crowd, Groove Safari can easily spot the temperature of the room, blending up-beat music into deeper atmospheres. This ability, in combination with his flawless use of effects and loops, made him one of the most in demand deejays of the South Of The Netherlands - playing up to 150 gigs per year in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

Now, with a fresh string of edits, bootlegs and original tracks, Groove Safari is ready to show his ear for music to the rest of the world. Are you joining the Groove Safari trip?

We made our first record in 1991, then a lot of things happened.

Mathon grew up in Holland, where in the early nineties, he developed his passion for Dance Music, through frequenting some of the region's finest clubs at the time. Passion became obsession, and this obsession soon reached its toll, making him feel he had to give something back, and therefore start to contribute towards a phenomenon, which seemed set to remain present for many decades to come.
His first appearance in front of a crowd was something he describes as the "Start of a Love Affair". So much so that within a very short period of time, he'd already performed for non-x-posed, Bozzini, Fame-us, Lazzurra, Kixx Development, Le Club Unique, Cityparade, Signs, Nightlive, Mondial, and Café Maxim's, to name but a few...
Still, he thought this wasn't enough, and that more needed to be done. This is when he bought his first synthesizer, ..., hoping to accentuate this feeling of completion when he would incorporate some of his own productions into his sets. Now the proud owner of dozens of vintage synths, ..., he counts numerous releases and remixes under his belt.
It's in Ibiza that Mathon has performing at places such as Bora Bora, Somny, Club Love,and Balearica has prooved that, not only is he an expert at setting dancefloors on fire!, he's also one of the greatest at pushing the bounderies of dance music production way beyond what is currently out there.
This summer, he will be gracing the decks in some the most prestigious venues in Spain, Holland, Belgium, and Portugal, as well as producing and remixing some of the most upfront music of the moment.
