The Art of Not Seeing

I am Abbas Sadeghi, the founder of Basaamad Music Band, or rather Basaamad Project.

“BASAAMAD” (Frequency) in Persian is the measurement of the number of times a periodic event occurs in a unit of time.

The idea of the Basaamad project became more serious for me after that, when in 2008 I made two singles, “Childish Dream” and “A Night,” along with two very simple videos.

In this same year, I released the first album of Basaamad under the name of “The Growth” (Rooyesh), as well as the music video of Saaze Shekasteh. In 2012, I made the second album of the Basaamad band called “Hesse Parvaz” with the cooperation of my good friend Nima Najm.

After immigrating to Canada, I remained devoted to making music despite the many changes in my life. In 2025, I released my third album, "The Art of Not Seeing". 
This album reflects a personal and philosophical response to today’s world, where, at times, it may feel wiser to turn away from ugliness and negativity, even as we’re constantly urged to stay aware and alert.

My good friends Pedram Naadali, Dariush Sahpour, and Nima Najm collaborated with me in the production of the first and second albums.
