10 years ago Basement Dope was created by J Pena with over a dozen Emcee's.
The crowd dwindled to a pair of phenomenal lyricist releasing 2 mixtapes but not able to establish a solid following.

D and P of  BDR teamed up to create The Acceptance Album which has been in production over the past few years.  Before the album was officially complete,  D and P were unable to see eye to eye, the duo split and good friends were turned strangers. 

Despite of the fall out, J Pena managed to tie the loose ends and brought order out of what seemed to be a vicious time consuming cycle and  published The Acceptance Album in late summer of 2016. It is the 1st official album under the BDR Label.

Young Getta is a well established poet/Hip-Hop artist from Miami-Dade county. He is truly passionate about his music, often writing about his life experiences. He considers himself a lyricist, an illustrator, and a storyteller from the streets, and enjoys manipulating his musical flow to speak about his life. The 26 year-old rapper has been writing music since he was 8 years old. He developed his core fan base from organizing high school cyphers, which eventually led to live performances and making music in various studios across South Florida. Young Getta has been releasing music since 2012. He debuted his first mixtape "Bass-Clef: The Raw Talent" in 2014. Three years later, he released the following mixtape "Half-Note: Goin’ Ghost.” He is currently working on his first album titled, “III,” which is set to be released in 2020. He can easily adapt to any genre of music and is always willing to collaborate with different artists. His independent label, Grand Staff Entertainment, presents “Studio Krashers,” showing behind-the-scenes look at the creation of his music with other artists.
