Raw Resonance – Community Percussion Through Recycled Sound

As an architect and musician, this project emerged from my interest in rhythm as a shared language between space, material, and community. Conducted in several cultural centers within all struggling neighborhoods, the workshops introduced children to drums and percussion using recycled materials — transforming ordinary objects into expressive instruments.

Throughout the month, I documented their practice sessions and performances, collecting a library of organic sounds. These recordings were then curated and processed in Ableton Live, forming the foundation of a new track. By blending these percussive textures with two contemporary songs — “Don’t Hide (So Supa)” and “BTTMFRN (CMONNN)” — the piece bridges local rhythm with global sound, creating a sassy, energetic fusion that celebrates creativity, sustainability, and cultural identity.
