When friend of the podcast and its first guest Ben Eastwood of The Ms. Kenton Podcast offered to come back and debut his first EVER vinyl mix for us, I knew he wouldn’t disappoint. The end product is a diverse hour of mind-expanding selections, building from Dub Techno, to dreamy Garage, to Electro and ending with some UK Bass and Dubstep. For our next mix of the series, we have the talented Ms. Kenton!

Ben is a DJ based between Newcastle and Leeds, running the monthly podcast series, The Ms. Kenton Podcast. Through the curation of his platform, Ben has been commendably devoted to nurturing rising talent by using the series to promote local producers and DJs. 

Ms. Kenton’s mix is woven together with wax picked up over lockdown. Ben merges records from the early, formative years of different UK Bass’ genres, complimenting them alongside more recent productions. 

Be sure to listen out for Shawn Cartier’s thumping ‘Dimpler’ from his latest EP ‘Parking Lot’ out on the Edinburgh based label, Carouse. Cartier combines punching rave with charged, swinging breaks in a hawt, hawt cauldron of wobbly acid. 

Ms. Kenton’s past radio appearances include Balamii, Netil Radio, People’s City Radio, and Jorvik Radio, Ben is a true asset to the scene and his mixes always deliver well-blended transitions that creatively explore every spot within electronic music, his Mob Mix is no different
