I'm really into found sounds and field recordings. Taking those sources, manipulating them and seeing where we end up. It's always a bit of a surprise.

Caixa is a musical group based in Seattle. We strive to preserve the classic Afro-Brazilian samba heritage while also performing other styles within the genre, such as bossa nova. Our live shows feature sambas, bossa novas, boleros, tangos, Portuguese fados, as well as other European and middle-eastern styles of music.
