Biography
Timuçin Coşkun began his creative journey in fashion editorial, creative direction, and photography before fully immersing himself in the world of DJing. Drawing from a vast and deeply personal music archive, he crafts eclectic, emotionally charged sets that move fluidly between Indie Dance, Detroit Techno, Italo Disco, house, and the spirit of 90s–2000s rave culture. His sound is narrative-driven, playful, and grounded in a strong sense of emotional flow rather than rigid genre boundaries.
Starting out at local Istanbul venues such as Lokal and Flavio, he quickly gained recognition through his kitsch-infused Wake Up Call party series. This early momentum led him to perform at some of Turkey’s most respected venues, including Babylon, Mini Müzikhol, Indigo, and Suma Beach.
Internationally, Timuçin has taken his sound to cities such as London, Amsterdam, Prishtina, Skopje, and Tbilisi, and has appeared at major festivals including Sónar Istanbul, Zorlu Mix Festival, and Chill-Out Festival.
Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with a wide range of influential artists, including The Chemical Brothers, Richie Hawtin, Jamie xx, Modeselektor, DJ Gigola, Bashkka, Hercules & Love Affair, Ian Pooley, Trentemøller, Digitalism, David August, and Blond:ish.
Beyond the DJ booth, Timuçin has played an active role in shaping Istanbul’s club culture. As a former resident DJ and creative team member at Klein, he contributed both musically and conceptually, while also working in creative direction for Wu and spending a period of his career as a promoter.
Most recently, he launched Very Demure, Slightly Vulgar, a new party series conceived as an evolving platform rather than a fixed format. Balancing elegance with rawness and irony with intimacy, the series prioritizes sound, atmosphere, and narrative over genre, reflecting Timuçin’s ongoing interest in emotional tension, controlled chaos, and the aesthetics of contradiction. He is also currently collaborating with Too Little Too Late – This Is Not a Pop-Up, taking part in projects that focus on space, time, and experience.
From 2019 to 2022, he hosted the Eternal Desires radio show on Lounge FM, building a dedicated audience over 3.5 years. Today, he continues to produce exclusive mixes for local and international radio platforms while performing regularly across different cities, maintaining a practice rooted in storytelling, emotional resonance, and a deep respect for dance music’s past and future.
