New Interplanetary Melodies, continues its space journey, among the most interesting musical galaxies of the Italian electronic music scene. For this new release, Simona Faraone, relies on the skilful hands of producers and musicians Marco Antonio Spaventi and Enrico Demuro, who return to work together after the experience of The Great Walk [GFTDCVLTR-007/NIM002-MC] to give us this dense musical experience in the imaginary soundtrack form of a retro-futuristic sci-fi  movie that embraces the ever more topical theme of survivalism.

nací en 1985 soy selector de música... desde pequeño escuchaba canciones de los años 50 y 60 así que me apasioné por la música... ahora prefiero las influencias de los años 70 80 90 y el italodisco italiano y extranjero.. . De vez en cuando trato de tocar pero más por diversión. Mi verdadera pasión es encontrar y tocar música que otros nunca han escuchado. Difunde la música.

Simona Faraone as  PHARAOH  [biography]
Label Manager of “New Interplanetary Melodies - Phonographic Editions From Tomorrow's World”.  DJ & vinyl lover.

Hailing from Rome and Florence based, Simona Faraone is one of the first women to have undertaken the disc-jockey career in Italy and Europe. Refined digger of cutting-edge sounds, she started a long and respected militancy in the Italian underground scene in 1987, with a background deeply rooted in the Afro-American music and an eclectic, original style. 
As an activist in the Italian club culture, she's seen the birth and partaken in almost all the electronic music movements: from the seminal house and techno-rave, across the progressive detour, until the manifold forms of contemporary electronica.
In 2015 Simona joined Roots Underground Records as Executive Producer, in partnership with the label founder Marco Celeri, contributing to the launch of the vinyl catalogue. 
Her very own project of “Phonographic Editions From Tomorrow’s World” called New Interplanetary Melodies was born in 2016 paying tribute to the unique and visionary approach of Sun Ra. It’s an experimental, free, transversal, and contaminated imprint which aim at promoting the sound of brilliant unconventional music producers and musicians, to create a parallel dimension in the world of modern independent sounds.
