Ears Wide Open is my call for you to come wander open-heartedly into the endless realm of beats and melodies I dig, mostly – but not limited to – electronic, No boundaries or preconceptions, just all that music I wanted to share with the world, but I didn’t have the chance yet.

I grew up listening to the radio or better said, the radio grew me musically, infected me with a visceral need to select the music I loved and tape it on cassettes. Later on, I started to buy vinyl and play them to the people at parties. Ears Wide Open triggers a new dimension of what DJing means for me. Tune in and enjoy!

It's time to present a new edition of DSSmix! This time we invited Santiago Ritacco, who is undoubtedly one of our favorite selectors in the current Spanish scene. His selections and skill in finding gems from the 90s and mid-00s make him a standout artist. It's also worth noting that Ritacco collaborated with us on our first compilation with his project R&I. It's a great pleasure to have you in this series.

1. How and where was the mix recorded?

I recorded it at my home in Tenerife. We programmed it several months ago, so I had time to make a good selection of what I wanted to play.

2. Can you tell us about the idea behind the mix?

The idea behind this mix was to create a podcast dedicated to what I usually play on the dance floor, including many unreleased tracks from upcoming projects and edits, always with my signature 90s sound.

3. What are you up to next? Projects, ideas…

In a few weeks, we have the Dias De Campo festival (which inspired me a lot for this mix), several upcoming dates booked, and we continue working on our label Toscal Records, where we are preparing our first vinyl and promoting the local scene with my group of friends from Carne Fiesta.

4.- Lastly, for you what is Dance, Shake, Swing!?

I've known Leo for many years, I think even before they founded this brand, and they are doing a great job in the Barcelona scene. I hope they continue for many more years!
