A dear friend and very talented dj for number #167. I met @na_one, the Korean born but now Amsterdam based DJ, in Berlin a few years ago when we both played the same Patterns of Perception Party. Since then, i've seen her DJ on various occasions, including an Animalia party in Melbourne last summer, and an evening at Garage Nord in Amsterdam. 

Her versatility but commitment to pure groove is always consistent. Naone's personality and dynamic energy can really be felt in her musical outputs, let alone her amazing technical abilities, boasting an impressive record collection, and also foraying into production with some amazing releases on @warningberlin, @oneyewitness and a @dkmntl cassette tape compilation. She always manages to bring the party vibes (on or off the decks), but her skills are serious.

Animix One Hundred & Sixty Seven: Naone

The Stockholm based Aniara artist and Ritmo Liminal party co-founder Mattias El Mansouri steps up for our next Phonica mix.
With three releases on the Aniara label, his most recent being the beautifully crafted "Time Dilation In Ultraviolet" Mattias has proven his understanding of what gives a dance track more meaning. This is also founded in his DJ sets all over Europe which have seen him share B2Bs with greats like Genius Of Time and Hunee. For this Phonica mix Mattias takes us from the house party and transitions us to the club and straight into the morning with a mixture of vocal delights into deep club moments leaving us on full blown Eurphora. We had a little chat with Mattias about the mix and what he has up his sleeve towards the end of the year.

Jill Krecké aka GURL (https://soundcloud.com/j1ll) is a Luxembourg-born, Brussels-based artist & archivist. We met more than a decade ago on the dancefloor of Fuse Club, Brussels. Ever since, we’ve stayed close music/clubbing friends and swum through different moments in our lives, forever positively connected and supportive. 

Properly balanced and in the pipeline for some years (!!!) now, Gurl’s Basic Moves podcast demonstrates her love for detroity electro, wonky breakbeats and dusty techno. Her passion and skills for mixing and digging up this specific sound of dance music have forged her a steady presence in the electronic music scene of Brussels. Since she started performing as a deejay at the age of 22, she’s became part of various projects (Brüxsel Jardin, C12, Planet), not only as an artist but also as a promoter and safe spacer. 

As a number one supporter and participant of our Beautiful Freaks party, it was a logical choice to ask Jill to join the core team. Multitasking 3-dimensional friends forever. Enjoy the energies & roll out the beats. Gurl in the mix!

Recorded an hour of listening music for WMBR, a student-run community radio station in Boston/USA connected to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The radio has been going since 1946 and has an impressive cd & vinyl collection. This show was recorded live in the studio after my fantastic tour in the americas back in February 2025. Thanks to Will, Rasaaq & Sojourn crew for making this happen. One love.

Welcome to the new Pluie/Noir podcast series. 8 years after our debut we decided to press the reboot button and return to our roots. With a new format and back to a regular monthly schedule, Pluie/Noir Interscapes will feature audio collages, mixes, live interviews, and live recordings from P/N artists, friends, and other collectives we admire.

Because less is more, instead of the usual triptych format, this series will feature one single A3-A1 visual interpretation of the music by a graphic artist. The artwork will be available to purchase in poster format on our rebooted Bandcamp page very soon, with cassettes or CD-r of the mixes as a bonus.

For Interscapes 05 we welcome the very talented Ismael Zouaoui aka @ismael-zouaoui to expose his most mellow side, with a visual interpretation by Montreal-based artist SUFèR.
