The story is about a man whom we know nothing about, except that he always walks with his camera. He's not so sociable, he doesn't go out much, but when he does, he has one purpose in mind, to just take another photo of her; a girl which he is truly affectionate about.
The girl is way out of his league, and he knows it, so he would never dare talk to her, he's not the kind of guy who'd talk to a girl anyways. Nevertheless, he spends his day stalking her everywhere, taking photos of her whenever he can.
She never sees him, she doesn't know he exists.
After his daily stalking, he goes home, to hang his new trophies--the new photos--on the wall, the same wall that has hundreds of photos of this girl, and spends his night watching his wall, remembering the moments when he took each and every photo. This is the closest he could get to a date.
One day, he sees she's not alone, she's with another guy. The betrayal leaves him blinded by anger, he starts thinking of harming her, harming him and maybe even himself. But No, all he does is head home, and starts to rip the photos off his wall, throwing them away in anger all over the place. Under all these photos was a huge one that he had forgotten, a portrait on which he had hung all those photos.
The moment he sees her portrait, he stops. He cries because he realizes the truth. His relationship is with some photos on a wall, and not with the real girl. But to him, the photos were more than enough, because the real girl betrayed him, but the girl in the photos didn't.
He feels guilty for doubting the girl on the wall, so he takes the portrait off the wall, and takes her in a little dance, all over his apartment, a waltz.

Bassem is a music composer, arranger and producer; originally a pianist with a bachelor's degree in Engineering. He composed his first piece at the age of 10 after practicing the piano for a year. Over a period of 8 years, he continued to study the piano, perform with rock bands and develop his composition skills, while working on scores for independant short movies, as well as independant music at his own taste. Since 2013, he has established his own studio to compose for film and media
 
In 2014, Bassem worked on his first film score for the movie "Colored Black", an Egyptian short movie that was highly acclaimed in some of the top local short film festivals. And in 2015, he was awarded for best score in the "48 hours Film Project" festival for his work on the short movie "Blade Rollette". He has also worked on advertising music for some leading brands, including Nestle's Nido, Beity, and Vimto.
 
There is always a story behind Bassem's music. Like any good story, you wouldn't really know what to expect next. Bassem's sequence of impressions within a piece can be much unexpected, yet it fits perfectly together. Even if you haven't been through a similar story, the music will trigger within you the right emotions for you to have lived it yourself.
