New idea over at the Riotvan HQ: release music just digitally. Let that be four releases every year. To make it more fun, let’s have each of these annual releases carry an artwork by the same designer that together arrange to an even bigger picture. And let’s start the whole cycle right here right now with Italian duo Hard Ton and an irresistible post-Italo-trans-Indiedisco-anthem called 'Under This Fantasy'. And yeah, to top things of, let’s have Jorkes transform that tune into a deeper affair cut out for rather shadowy dancefloors. Said and done.

We are honored by the entrance of Endrik Schroeder in the owl family!

We discovered this amazing french artist, two years ago, on Zone, label managed by The Hacker. It was, for the owl, an evidence that Endrik collaborates with her.

So, after several wonderful remixes, we are very happy to present you the first release of our friend Endrik on Mélopée Records. A release that characterizes him perfectly, carried by a cosmic atmosphere and seeming to be inspired by Jean Michel Jarre himself...

The first original "Reboot Robot" is the best summary of Endrik's talent. Everything is here... Perfect cutted rhythm, scatching percussions and the secret of this artist : the beauty of the pads and leads , close your eyes, it's time to go through the milky way !

With "Hypnotron", Endrik proves that he's also able to go outside to his comfort zone. The track breathes new life into house, bringing a celestial environment to this style thanks, once again, to wonderful pads that transport the listener to the depth of his mind.

The trio Leitstrahl complete the release with a perfect vintage remix of "Reboot Robot", more punchy. The soul of the original is preserved but we recognize without a doubt the power of the Italo "Leitstrahl" touch !

To close this amazing release, we are proud to include a remix of "Hypnotron" by the only one ROTCIV ! As soon as the first notes begin, we feel that the trip is going to be fabulous ! The music never stops escalating up to the end, raising people's consciousness again and again to a state of melancholy and perfectly linked bliss...

Some say that by trying to do different things, you end up doing the same thing as others. Others say that it's by trying to be someone else that you become yourself. Playlisted in February by Jennifer Cardini in her "Essential mix", the legendary BBC programme, "The Others", an unbridled discoid turbine, is released on "From disco to disko" in July in an EP that inaugurates the revival of the small Corsican label. Soulwax, Black Devil Disco Club, Felix Da Housecat, Valerj crystallises here the very essence of his influences in a long saturated ascent of 6 minutes and 38 seconds. On the "B" side, Damon Jee & Ravintsara for a dark remix with an enigmatic vocal opening new perspectives. In the realm of standardisation, of uniformity, "The Others" could be the EP to play this summer, your EP... or maybe someone else's?

Heading to the south of Paris, this release is about Malakoff city in the 92nd district. We're happy to welcome the local regulars, namely Soufflé Caramel, L-e-o, Max Cohle, and Doctor Gasm, as well as the newcomers Olivier Romero and Ginko. Escaped Records returns with a new release, fruit of the collaboration with Bobby Terrestrial from Welsh Street Heat and label manager Jarod Esc. Venus EP is composed of two edits, digging deep into forgotten Vietnamese Italo Disco tracks. Both artists partnered on this EP whilst residing in the paradise surroundings of Hoi An, Vietnam. 

Made of 2 tracks, dance floor fillers, with the light touch of carefully crafted synthesiser sounds along with other elements distinctive of the 80’s era. The first track “Venus” embarks the listeners to a flashback into time, revisiting the iconic anthem sprinkled with Vietnamese vocals. The second track of the EP “Just A Boy” focuses on delivering a tight synth melody for the late night movements that sway to the reverberated sounds of the 80’s"

Lausanne-born, Berlin-based Pyrame is releasing his new EP, 'Electronica Melancholia', as a dedication to his newborn son. A veritable poet at heart, the physicist turned music and film producer creates raw emotion through his melodies and lyrics inspired by his endless exploration of the world around him. The birth of his son marks his newest source of inspiration as he embarks upon the adventure of parenthood.

The 6-track EP will be released via Pyrame's own label, Thisbe Recordings which is inspired by Greek Mythology for a touch of surrealism, heritage and fantasy. It features 4 original tracks mixing elements of synth-pop, post-disco and progressive electronica, and 2 remixes for 'Oettam is Born' from Arnaud Rebotini and Iñigo Vontier. RNT welcomes Brooklyn-based band 79.5 to the family with the first single from their forthcoming eponymous LP. Soulful and psychedelic, the haunting melodies of Club Level float above a steady strutting rhythm section, punctuated by moaning baritone saxophone and drenched in washy reverb.

NYC mainstay Eli Escobar crafts a masterful remix that leans into 80s nostalgia, with a soundscape and arrangement nothing short of perfection.
