Our next release comes from an artist that we have been consistently impressed with over the years: the ever-enigmatic, UK based sample wizard Marenn Sukie. 

Always coming correct with his signature brand of electronica - bittersweet narratives constructed from tough drums and breaks, dripping with jazz & soul, with vocal samples immaculately woven into the framework, Marenn Sukie - real name Chris Roth - caught our attention instantly with his solo releases on Apollo, Deep Heads and Otaku, and his collaborative work with Synkro. 

The “Enough of You” EP is another ridiculously strong body of work from Chris, and one that we’re proud to champion as another gem in the Chikara catalogue. It’s our exclusively from our bandcamp store on Friday 5th November, and it’s out in full on 12th November, which happens to be Chris’ birthday, so make sure you run it up for him.

Bass&Delayer is a duo based in the North of Italy formed by two producers, Bassound and Mas&Delayer, with a common passion for bass music, especially drum&bass and dubstep sounds.

Groove Armada - Superstylin' [Bass&Delayer RMX]

Sound engineer graduated in 2015 at National Academy of Cinema in Bologna, Angelino aka Bassound comes to the djing panorama at the very beginning of 2010. In that period he attends the Puddhu Bar school in Turin, where his friends and masters The Dreamers give him the possibility to open several nights along Murazzi. From that moment, his interest for drum and bass and dubstep music arises and he starts creating on his own. Since 2011 he is an essential member of Type Konnection Crew, with which he organizes parties and events between Tuscany and Liguria. He is part of TypeKonnection netlabel's project, an adventure promoted by his friend Xenodrome at the beginning of 2012, which aim is to promote independent underground music of local and international artists. With his crew he also is involved in a radio podcast produced by Sonik Studio (La Spezia), a project in which he plays on decks. Finally, he is part of Pisa drum and bass scenary and he often is engaged in Massive Night events. As an artist, his productions are basically minimal, careful to bass quality and pervaded by deep drum and bass. In one word: dark.
