Recorded on a snowy day in December 2022, Brent founder member of Aquasky (a seminal breaks ,DnB group and all round cornerstone of UK dance music) sat down with us for an extended interview where we went deep into the Aquasky story, the journey from jungle to DnB to Breaks and back. Brent shares with us his stories and insights into the music business finishing up with the inside line on his brilliant Vinyl Fanatiks label that is bring back some old classics and via a wide reaching range of imprints is pushing underground dance music forward.

Brent from Aquasky In Conversation With Bass Scoops Radio May 2023

Broadcasting from the South West of the UK expect a lot of jungle, dub, hardcore and sounds loosely termed "rave".  The more "left field" the better and our selectors try to bring a few less heard cuts to the mix. We love the roots of the scene, respecting  the forefathers and mothers of the music so we'll be dropping some classics  in with the new tracks pushing bass music forward. Alongside the above genres we can't miss out on a good tune so  you'll also hear  acid house, balearic , house and their  evolutionary  offspring  like trip hop, dubstep, d&b, UK Garage and more...
