Well this show is something different to the norm Bass Scoops stuff, it’s a Myriad Recordings and Smooth and Groove Records special edition I  recorded  live interviews at their joint club night in the summer of 2024 in Whitney UK.

The night  was a  bit of  a who’s who of proper drum and bass and we got to interview the artists playing on the night  alongside the people at the labels and club that helped make such a great night come together.  Featuring living  legends of the scene  such as PHD, Villem, Madcap and some other  super talented artists too.As always on B Scoops radio  we’ve cut the interview with tracks from the artists featured on the night, drawing from  the excellent back catalogs of both Myriad and Smooth and Groove.

Broadcasting from the South West of the UK expect a lot of jungle, dub, hardcore and sounds loosely termed "rave".  The more "left field" the better and our selectors try to bring a few less heard cuts to the mix. We love the roots of the scene, respecting  the forefathers and mothers of the music so we'll be dropping some classics  in with the new tracks pushing bass music forward. Alongside the above genres we can't miss out on a good tune so  you'll also hear  acid house, balearic , house and their  evolutionary  offspring  like trip hop, dubstep, d&b, UK Garage and more...

They have also taken the Soul Deep vs Smooth N Groove brand to the west & east coasts of America hosting events in Los Angeles at Respect, Stamina, San Francisco, and Mosaic, Baltimore.
