While we are all lost in some way or another, there is nothing that makes you feel more grounded and found that in the eyes of a lover. There is nothing like connecting. Love making grounds us. Sensual beings shrouded by societal norms and regulatory judgements. When you truly connect with someone, that all goes away, everything does, time does, space seems both intimate and infinite! When the finite feeling of love making are fortunate enough to be indulged in, the body shakes and shimmers with connective brain matter, two bodies wobble and tremble until they dissolve into liquid love.

Death is not something we talk about enough. I had a dream that I was a sunflower, like the ones I see on my walks every day. As I once stood tall, bright and unfettered we all see the same wilted, droopy fait of death. The beauty in this is that the seeds float on and make many more flowers. In a way we are like these flowers and the seeds of our existence, or essences will float on forever.

But life slips away in silence.

Fragments suspended in an ocean of memory.
Faces, voices, laughter…
fade into the distance,
yet never cease to exist.

This is true eternity.
Not in the body.
Not in time.
But in the memories that keep on living.
Even when they become nothing but delicate shadows
whispering in our dreams.

And as we fall slowly into infinity,
with our hearts wrapped in the sweet illusion of never fading,
one question remains.

If our memories last forever,
who will keep them when we are gone?
