French producer, musician and DJ, Thomas Arroyo aka Laroye has over the last couple of years been dropping musical releases in all the rights places, Atjazz Record Company, Vision Recordings, Ocha Records and Freerange Records to drop a few names! It's now time for his long-awaited album and Local Talk are extremely proud to present 'Let It Go'.

From his studio in Brighton where he resides nowadays, Laroye has produced eight highly musical compositions that will appeal to a wide audience of house heads as well as the jazz, soul, and funk communities. The album offers everything from vocal soul /boogie jams like 'Beauty in motion' and 'Grateful' to the deep vocal house of 'Let it go' to jazz-funk with a strong rare groove feel on 'People out there' plus some house cuts for the clubs!

'Let It Go' is eight solid tracks that you'll want to play over and over and over. Local Talk coming at us once again with high quality dance music at its very best.

PREMIERE: Laroye - Beauty In Motion (With Abi Flynn) [Local Talk]

World-Renowned Brazilian DJ, producer, DJ Tahira, shares an exclusive unreleased edit for Brazilian artist, Letícia Fialho, taken from his forthcoming vinyl EP of edits and remixes, "Minhas Versões (My Versions)”, on his own imprint, Poeira Music

The record will feature six captivating tracks on vinyl for the very first time, showcasing Tahira's exceptional talent for remixing and editing. Two of whom have never been on released before on any format.

Hailing from Brasilia, Leticia Fialho and her beautiful "Corpo e Canção" receive Tahira's magical touch, with Afro-Brazilian Ijexá rhythm influences and a captivating exploration of the melodic theme. 

Other highlights on the EP include Tahira's organic Maculele Edit of the already classic "Banho de Folhas" by Luedji Luna, long a secret weapon for a select cadre of DJ, it draws inspiration from the ancestral rhythm Maculele, a fundamental element of the globally renowned Baile Funk sound. 

A fusion of Latin and samba influences, Tahira's rework of the 2000s hit "Meu Esquema" by Mundo Livre S.A. + Bruno Pedrosa offers a fresh perspective on the original samba bossa nova track. Tha Tahira remix of New Zealand’s “Chi Chi Cha Cha” by Latinaotearoa invites listeners on a journey through Latin sounds blended seamlessly with Brazilian influences, featuring the enchanting vocals of Ully Costa.

A masterful blend of samba beats and synths, Tahira's SambaJazz Instrumental Remix of "Iroke", by Edground showcases his ability to create genre-defying musical experiences. Previously only available digitally on the NYC label Bastard Jazz, Tahira’s remix of “Moqueca” by the exciting trio of Captain Planet Zuuka Poderosa and Raphael Futura, combines Brazilian Ijexá and Latin cumbia percussion in an irresistible uptempo beat.

Known for his trailblazing musical contributions, DJ Tahira has been a force to reckon with in the international music scene for over a decade. His remarkable journey took a massive leap with his remarkable re-edit of Gilberto Gil’s iconic "Toda Menina Baiana", championed by global trend setters such as Gilles Peterson, Mr Scruff, Laurent Garnier, DJ Harvey, and Jamie XX. Tahira’s edit ignited dance floors worldwide and solidified his status as a pioneering DJ and producer. 

DJ Tahira has become a global music luminary, performing at prestigious venues, festivals and platforms, such as Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz Festival, Boiler Room, Love Supreme, Lot Radio, and Worldwide FM. His music has found a home on esteemed labels such as Concord Jazz, Musica Macondo, Bastard Jazz, Wonderwheel, Wah Wah 45s, Names You Can Trust, Far Out, Tiff's Joints, and Hot Casa. 

Additionally, Tahira's prowess as a music researcher is underscored by two critically acclaimed compilations: "Levanta Poeira" (2018), lauded as one of the best reissues by NPR, and "Brasil Novo", released by London's Musica Macondo label, which earned the title of Best Reissue of 2022 according to Sounds and Colours, along with glowing reviews from Songlines Magazine (awarding five stars!), Juno, and Mr. Bongo."Minhas Versões" serves as both a testament to his illustrious career and a glimpse into the future soundtrack of global dancefloors .

"Minhas Versões" is officially released on November 3rd, with bonus tracks on the vinyl.
