'With their second vinyl release of 2013 Goon Club Allstars continue to carve out their own space in club-focused music, with Mssingno’s haunting debut 12” EP pitting cold, melodic synths and deftly cut vocal samples against growling basslines and off-kilter drum patterns. As well as being responsible for the huge ‘Brandy Flip’, a track played out across radio and clubs through 2013, last year the London-based producer scored some deserved attention producing ‘Drugs Don’t Work’ for masked Tottenham MC Cas (formerly Castro). His icy, romantic flip of ‘The Verve’ tune of the same name provided the ideal backdrop for a rare glimpse into Cas’ self-inflicted weaknesses and here proves to be just as effective at stirring the emotions without the aid of a vocal narrative.

Whether he’s toying with the slick ‘n’ sensual, as is unashamedly evident on the heated 808-driven opener ‘Skeezers’, or bittersweet quasi-R&B twisters on one of the year’s more unlikely watery-eyed earworms ‘XE2’, Mssingno’s first excursion on wax is earnestly dedicated to the feels; all of them. Case in point: ‘XE3’s weary-hands-in-the-air sunrise synths juxtaposed perfectly by ‘124th’s hood-up cap-down gulliness.

It may be a dangerously well-trodden arena, blending bold synths with pitch-bended vocals, but few producers in the last few years can hold a candle to Mssingno’s craftsmanship and knack for progression. Simply put, Mssingno is one of those rare ones, the ones that leave a mark and his debut serves as a bold statement of intent for both himself, and the rest of the Goons.'

Young Philly phenom Jordan "Swizzymack" Safford's BASS EP for Jeffree's defies categorization as clearly as it redefines frontiers in club music.  Swizzy's sonic architecture effortlessly ascends to a realm of the rarest of air, where the club template has been obliterated and replaced with true audio anarchy.  Steroid injected kicks, claps and buildups collide with hyperactive tempos and pulverizing drops to describe a post apocalyptic warzone where the dance floor is the only safe haven.  "Bass" is a call to arms. Swizzy commands us to join him on a journey to find out just how deep and more importantly - how far - the bass goes. No one knows til we get there...not even Swizzymack.  "Bouncin" is told from a twerker's point of view. Her booty is clearly too fat and she loves bouncin' it for Swizzy. It's the soundtrack to getting a walley on a space station.  And the close out the EP is the tricky, trippy and slippery joint "Drip". It plucks, pops and glides in and out of all the right places with ease. By the time Swizzy's trademark sirens drop in it's too late - you're too wet - and the floor is dripping with twerk sweat.&#13;
