The next release on ICONYC Noir sees the debut of Miami based producer KAMADEV featuring a collaboration with Aves Volare. The US producer delivers a stunning 2 track EP called 'Vocative' to announce himself in style.

The opening track 'War is Won' features none other than the mighty Aves Volare on vocals. Driving textures; as well as euphoric and moody progressive melodic techno vibes are the name of the game to satisfy clubbing, uplifting and feel-good needs courtesy of this beautiful and extraordinary track. Utilizing a hypnotizing groove as the basis of the track, underpinned by a deep bassline that gradually eases its way to the breakdown. 'War is Won' unleashes its full force which culminates into a melodic club anthem, paired with Aves Volare's outstanding vocals that interlace with the infectious groove and fade in and out for maximum effect. A sure winner from KAMADEV and Aves Volare. Essential stuff!

Its been a while since Alexey Union and Anturage were represented on our imprint. Once they remixed the “Odyssey” debut release from HIGHLITE, now we turn the tide on remix and Original track duties.

A peak time track on 1 that already killed dancefloors all over the world before the official release and a smooth groover with a lot of energy on the flip which is the perfect interpretation of “Deborah” and the wonderful lyrics and vocals of Ira Ange. What an impact given by these two tracks! After their huge hit “Otherdisco” its the first appearance of the guys after 1,5 years and we are so proud and happy to have their talent back in our aquarium. HIGHLITE really got the funk!

We jump into Year 2 of Nie Wieder Schlafen's music, starting with one of the core artists of our Family. Sheffield's own Benji Musk aka. Yarni has been a great addition to our roster since day one. He loves the family-minded focus of our community and is the first to give feedback on any subject. With heart and gentle care he has developed a true sound of his own, combining field-recordings, he collects while travelling through the world, with synthetic sounds he creates on his (almost) analog-only studio. His open-minded way of developing percussive productions is something re-freshing in the scene and truly pushes for innovation. His EP contains 5 productions, including 3 originals of his own and some creative re-imaginations from our friends of Hacker and Miethig and one of music's most innovative artists, Kincaid. 

„Aera" ist the best possible example for Yarni's sound and production style. Warm bassline, organic percussions arranged beautfully within in a pool of intimate and soothing melodies creating a certain type of atmosphere, we appreciate so much about Yarni's sound. 

Main title track „Voiski" is able to shine a different light on the oh so known Arpeggiator-production. With a strong focus on warm and dynamic percussion arrangements and a clear synthetic arp lead, Yarni rather tries to clearly distinct both parts of the track, rather than melting both key elements together. The result is an interesting new sound, which brings a fresh look tot he oversaturated offer of arp-focused productions.

„Shuka" is the result of Yarni's strength to explore new arrangements and grooves in interesting ways. Orientalic touches and fresh beat patterns suck you into this production right awa., The track keeps you interested with the inclusion of old school vocal FX and fitting ways of raising the tension throughout the running time.

Hacker and Miething turned Yarni's main title track up-sided-own and into the realms of a dubby, yet progressive sound. While removing the melodic progression of the main lead and using it as a tense background pattern this remix creates a hypnotic state, that slowly sucks you in and won't let go. Interesting synth leads are introduced gently and build up in a smooth way, never leaving the state of the incredible atmosphere, the boys were able to create. 

Taking things even deeper, is one of the most creative artist we have in our family. Kincaid has been changing the game with creative and fresh music, especially when it comes to culturally influenced productions. As expected our friend was interested in putting Yarni's creative production „Shuka" in a new light. His mysterious downbeat re-work tells a cinematic story, that delivers a dubby, big room sound full of new and dynamic percussive elements as they are, once again, put together in such a harmonic and dynamic way, it's hard to tell if these grooves were put together digitally or organically.

We're living in a fast-moving age. This is nothing new to us. But it's interesting, though. Technological development, opinions, or relationships with other people change in a rapid manner.
The RUN AWAY EP was our way to deal with such issues. In the past decade we met a lot of people who became short-time friends or lovers. We had great times and much fun or shared emotions with those people. We literally ran away into a world we build by ourselves.
But then something happens. Something always happens. Whether it is a certain thought that pops up, or a life situation that changes, or a suspicion that something feels not right. And the same people with which we ran away into our self-made world are gone.

Als der nächste von mir in den Atlantik geworfene Stein die Wasseroberfläche unregelmäßig zerteilte und auf den sandigen Grund sank, auf den schon Abermillionen Steine vor ihm niedergesunken waren und dort von unzähligen Wellen zu dem feinen Sand zwischen meinen Fingerspitzen gemahlen worden waren, gestand ich mir ein, dass ich ganz genau wusste, was die beiden Körperchen in ihren Händen hielten. Das Leuchten und Blitzen wurde von nichts anderem als einem ungewöhnlich großen Fotoapparat ausgelöst. Eine altertümlicher Blitzvorrichtung schien auf dem Gerät zu stecken. Und es soll mich der Teufel holen, dachte ich. Die beiden Geschöpfe hatten nichts anderes fotografiert als mich.

Ich schlug das Büchlein auf, um ein wenig in Quintus‘ Aufzeichnungen weiterzulesen. Ich hatte es mir hier herunter zum Strand mitgebracht, ging nirgends mehr ohne es hin. Ich streifte den Sand von meinen Fingern an meiner Hose ab und blätterte weiter. Die Schrift auf den nun folgenden Seiten war undeutlich und wirr, die Zeilen liefen ineinander oder voneinander fort und die Buchstaben wurden an manchen Stellen auffällig groß. Dann wieder klein.
