Billy Fractyl - Over Looked

The 5th volume of our Free Dubstep series is here, in what will be its last outing for the foreseeable future. So that makes it all the better that we've gone out with our best one yet!

We have a returning cast of label regulars in the form of 1point5, Ekula and Tik&Borrow who bring their various percussive flavours to proceedings. Hexy follows up from his October EP with a track that showcases a different side to his production, whilst Qwirk brings those grimey flavours we love in his production in preparation for his debut EP on the label in January 2022.

We see the welcome return of Mungk to the label following his last release on the label in 2019, whilst we also welcome back Coxon and SHVA who delve back into the dubstep side of their productions following their mutant shenanigans on Coxon's 'ICKY EP' in 2019. Last but not least, we have newcomers Mentom and Tmbr who smash it out of the park with their track 'Find Me', and Nomia who kicks off the release with his sublime track 'Bellstep' - expect to see more of this trio in the future!

Singular / Just Can't see is the first installment of this new project.

Singular starts things off with a dark lurkey soundscape filled with lots of space. Each sound makes a statement and floods the listener with feelings of controlled chaos that flows along nicely.

Just Can't See completes the two-tracker with a bouncy flow full of swirling percussion and stabby bass-lines. The track then evolves to a more aggressive flow on the back half, showcasing a seamless transition to a slightly heavier feeling.

I am proud to start this new project off proper, and hope you all find something that resonates with you.

We all know this moment - you are lying in bed with a loved one and the world stands still.

You put on some music to set the scene for rising temperatures under the sheets…

The beautiful set you put on suddenly brings you out of rhythm, but getting up to skip the track is no longer an option.

We have been scouting for the perfect Sunday morning sets for quite a while already and while "Eigentlich heissen wir Klaus" & "Mattmosphere" have been steady suppliers of them for us, we also developed the idea of asking befriended artists to record one hour of music, to which they like to stay in bed with a loved one.

It's an intimate ask, but most of them said yes.

 We met Clarence aka @seiunmusic last year through our good friend Vince and there was directly a click. So we first asked her to do a remix for one of our last releases and also to contribute a cuddle cast ;)

We love the personal touch of every artist in their cuddle casts and we hope you enjoy it as well.
