Depuis Montevideo, Lechuga Zafiro s'est peu à peu imposé comme comme l'un des producteurs à suivre de la scène électronique sud-américaine. Puisant dans l'héritage des tambours candomble, un de ces syncrétismes religieux propres à l'Amérique du Sud, Pablo de Vargas sculpte ses morceaux ses tracks comme de petits kaléidoscopes, peu avards en sound design et fourmillant de détails. A mi-chemin entre les incantations aux orishas et la ghetto music avant-gardiste, grime et luso-house en tête, Lechuga Zafiro ne tarde pas à convaincre certains poids lourds de la scène electronique mondiale à l'image de Branko (BURAKA SOM SISTEMA) ou encore Matias Aguayo qui signe le morceau "Sapo de Manga" sur son label Cómeme. Avec« Tambores Escondidos », Lechuga nous a livré un morceau de club music définitivement moderne, tout en suspensions et subtilités rythmiques.
