Producer and multi-instrumentalist Mente Orgánica returns with Pukllay, his new studio album released by Fértil Discos. This album marks a turning point: after a long period immersed in electronic textures and machine beats, the artist felt the need to return to a fresh, organic, and deeply human sound.
With compositions developed over several years, Pukllay was born from an uncontrollable creative impulse: a musical catharsis in which Mente Orgánica sat down to play without restraint, surrounded by instruments and without measuring time. The result is an album that breathes freedom and spontaneity, traversed by acoustic timbres: ronroco, charango, guitars, acoustic piano, double bass, bombo legüero, non-quantized drums, and touches of Moog synthesizer.
The title, Pukllay, means “game” or “carnival” in Quechua, and captures both the playful spirit of the sessions and the festive, carnival-like character that runs through the album. Each track feels like an intimate dialogue between tradition and exploration, between Latin American roots and contemporary arrangements.
Recorded at a time of introspection, the album also reflects a personal change: the decision to work alone, after a period of intense activity in Bogotá, where Jacobo garnered growing attention and performed at major festivals with his more acoustic song projects. Now, with Pukllay, the musician plans to reactivate his live set and form an ensemble to bring these songs to life, expanding his sound universe on stage.

Folktronica is a style that was born as a seed sent by Mother Earth and reproduced around the world like flowers, being the musicians it's bees. From Latin America they made their way to the cities like the green arms of the Amazon, but with charangos, flutes and synthesizers, until reaching the most remote places of the Earth as a whole new voice in electronic music.

With the mission to find the precious balance between the world of traditions and technology, plus a touch of mystery and modernity, folktronica positioned itself as a genre in alternative websites such as Bandcamp and Soundcloud, and then became massive in Youtube and Spotify, which were filled with artists, fans and music that spread the style from Latin America to the world, finding then each region of the world its own interpretation of this mixture of ancient sounds and contemporary technology.

Today, in the midst of a chaotic present in humanity and in the face of a Western music industry focused on the purely commercial, the beauty and depth of this ¨mestizo¨ movement that speaks of Mother Earth, folkloric traditions, ancestral rhythms and themes of the spirit is often overlooked, meanwhile it keeps exploring with the highest musical technology and forming itself as a new great world underground movement. Today Ritmos del Sur undertakes a project to share, strengthen and value these musical ideas that already inhabit the whole world, with flavors that from Latin America also pass through Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and much more. ¨This is Folktronica¨ is an eclectic compilation of 14 songs that are immersed in this genre, a spiritual nectar that we hope will bring you peace, joy and lots of rhythm to cheer your body and soul.

A synthetic 5-track EP, half dark, half light. Among the casuarina leaves, the whispered voices of urban hip hop warrior Sara Hebe, the poems of Hugo Mugica and Cecilia Pavón, the trip itself turns onto a lisergic experience yet highbrow, which gets to its climax with 'Breslau', containing the sweet and smokey strings played by Jhon William Castaño Montoya.

Fértil Discos releases “Naranja de Orán,” the first preview of the compilation album in tribute to Leda Valladares and María Elena Walsh. The song is a baguala collected by Leda in Orán, Salta, which was part of the repertoire she performed with María Elena in the duo Leda y María in the early 1950s.
In this new version, El Remolón and Brawlio come together to give the song a new vibe. The result is an experimental baguala-pop: Brawlio's voice is intimate and deep, interwoven with an electronic framework that builds tension and atmosphere in the hands of El Remolón.
Naranja de Orán, also known as “Como mate sobre el agua,” the original recording, now difficult to find in phonographic editions, takes shape again in this reinterpretation that seeks to bridge the gap between ancestral song and contemporary electronic sensibility.

Fértil Discos presents Fértil Club, a new series exploring global dance music rooted in ancestral and futuristic sounds. Curated by DJ Nim, its first release features PWKARMAYTA—the project of Peruvian musician Anthony Paucarmayta—offering an introspective and ceremonial journey. His upcoming album Aramu (Serpent of the Andes), out September 19, is a nine-track work entirely in C minor, a key linked to trance, meditation, and altered states. Written during the 2019–2020 lockdown, Aramu draws from sound healing and ambient field recordings, using healing frequencies to invite listeners to “leave the city through the mind” and reclaim sound as refuge and medicine. From slow downtempo to powerful ancestral-tech, this release highlights the depth and innovation of one of Peru’s most exciting producers.

TEQSE or ETERNO or RAÍZ or FUNDAMENTO in Aymara, is a track created and inspired by the jungle and Andes of Peru, with the concept of being an eternal loop, which with its progressive development and nuances invites contemplative listening.
It is a composition between 6/8 and 4/4 loaded with sensitivity, compositional talent, and sound design.

Barulho es un tema nuevo de Barda anticipando el disco que sale en apenas unos días con Basalto Records como parte del álbum Árboles Nativos Vol. 1. Los stabs de sintetizadores juegan con la melodía de un balafón. Por momentos suena oscuro, por otros más diurno y colorido. Como en la frondosidad de una selva, el sol por momentos se va y por momentos regresa, desplegando los colores brillantes de las alas de una mariposa o las plumas de un ave.

The inaugural transmission arrives from Pawkarmayta, a solo project of Peruvian artist Anthony Paucarmayta. His album, “Aramu” (Serpent of the Andes), is a nine-track ceremonial voyage composed in C minor, a rich and expressive key known for creating music with a strong emotional impact, which can influence a listener's mood and state of mind. Crafted during the pandemic's silence, the work draws from Paucarmayta’s dedication to sound healing and his vast archive of Peru's auditory landscapes – forest winds, flowing water, and avian conversations collected over decades. Rooted in his classical training from Cusco, the music weaves ceremonial tradition with electronic minimalism, transforming field recordings into a potent medicine for the mind and a vessel for escape.

Premiered here, AWKA unfolds as a deep, percussive meditation anthem. A low, steady BPM anchors the atmosphere, over which soft, resonant vocal hooks emerge, enveloped by an ethereal, phantasmagoric layer of airy vocals that float like a spectral choir through the mix. The psychedelic experience is the mere manifestation of the human being’s inner world. Its universality can connect two different people with agnostic point of views in two separate locations. Pablo Jacobo carved into another entrerriano’s musical lineage, Linares Cardozo, to get a full ticket to this experience. From that starting point Pablo Jacobo created “La San Llamarada”: an open space work, wide and vast where dark and eerie figures arise among the Entre Ríos jungle .

Pol Nada decides to distort his own musical path again, this time with a folkloric approximation from a work based in the investigation of a musician born in his home town (La Paz, Entre Ríos).

Chamamé, chamarrita, and throttled chamamé are the main threads on this new Pol Nada’s album, filled with psychedelic and paralisergic elements inmersed in a dark cloud enlightened with a blaze of digital delays and reverbs which expands itself as the silence of a nocturne river, powered by sharp Dub basslines and darkened guitar strings, which shapes the obscure and shiny Folk songs in this album.

La San Llamarada is a double project in two parts. A first one, containing 8 digital and lisergic folklore songs to be released in March 2017 by Fértil Discos (Buenos Aires) and Mamboretá (Formosa); and a second part featuring exquisite electronic reversions curated by Fértil Discos, gathering artists such as El Remolón, Barda, San Ignacio, among others.

Canto a La Paz + Dandara and Jin Yerei Remixes is an advance of this two releases.

Fertil discos is a newly born argentinean label, based in Buenos Aires. We are pleased to announce our most recent compilation, divided in two separate albums -one representing the Day, the other gathering Night sounds. Both records illustrate the new steps of the new wave of South America’s electronic artists, influenced by the sounds and rythms of our continent.

The compilation proposes you an ideal soundtrack for sunrises/sunsets on desert islands, drawing inspiration from ancient rhythms, electronic bass lines, and recent productions with a world music mindset.

Both volumes put together danceable songs like “Animal Estrella” (Pol Nada & El Remolón) and “Periferia” (Paisandoom); folktronic compositions like “Tejido” (Jin Yerei feat. Kona); slow techno songs like “Orobon” (Barda) and talented electronic compositions like “Dialogue” (Tomanka) and “Galata” (Santi) among other undiscovered gems.

Fertil discos is a newly born argentinean label, based in Buenos Aires. We are pleased to announce our most recent compilation, divided in two separate albums -one representing the Day, the other gathering Night sounds. Both records illustrate the new steps of the new wave of South America’s electronic artists, influenced by the sounds and rythms of our continent.

The compilation proposes you an ideal soundtrack for sunrises/sunsets on desert islands, drawing inspiration from ancient rhythms, electronic bass lines, and recent productions with a world music mindset.

Six years after Leda Valladares’ death, and almost two years after publishing our project, Fertil Discos (Argentina) and Folcore (Barcelona) present the third single of our coming album El Camino de Leda, revisiting the music she recorded and saved from being lost forever. 12 songs, recorded by electronic producers and guest singers, will bring her work and legacy back into life. 

In this case, producer Barda who mixes with the singer Celeste Gomez Machado, making a "slowhouse" version of the classic Las Hojas Tienen Mudanza.

El amor, el cuerpo, los viajes, la naturaleza. Se supone que muchos discos hablan de estas cosas, pero el disco de Mente Orgánica parece ir abarcándolas de a una, con calma, hasta trasladar la escucha hacia esos planos. Cada uno de los temas va transformando los elementos naturales en otras realidades o en pura imaginación, dejando siempre un espacio para el sueño.

Ojos es el primer álbum de Jacobo Polanía, aka Mente Orgánica, y tiene como base las melodías y los sonidos de los Andes, amalgamados en un beat hipnótico, pacífico y bailable a la vez. Nueve temas que no pretenden desarrollar problemas, sino que nombran las cosas y los espacios, y los muestran. La presencia de los sonidos orgánicos se entremezcla con lo digital de manera casi inevitable: cuerdas y percusiones, que apuntan a una cadencia folclórica y que se envuelven para adaptarse a la pista.

Érase una vez una pandemia que azotó el mundo y nos obligó a quedarnos en nuestras casas, las personas fueron compelidas a distanciarse y todo lo que nos parecía normal dejó de serlo. Miedos, frustraciones, enojos, inseguridades, algunas de las emociones reinantes aún nos acompañan en este momento. Un modelo entra en crisis y no sabemos cómo continuaremos.

Un poco azorades y confundides, desde Fértil, sentimos la necesidad de entregarnos a la inspiración (o no) que este proceso producía y lanzamos un espacio de intercambio, para recibir música creada en este momento.

Nos dimos cuenta de que la idea predominante de un tiempo lineal y productivo era, en parte, la causa del colapso. Estar “Fuera del Tiempo”, nos invita a pensar en un tiempo distinto, a observarnos, detenernos y pensar... En el estar agridulce de la pausa, esperamos la aparición de un vacío fértil, para entender mejor quiénes somos, dónde estamos y adónde vamos.

Fuera del Tiempo reúne 19 postales de una pausa.18 temas y un bonus track, de corte electrónico, compuestos por productores de distintas latitudes, e invita a un viaje pausado y reflexivo, con humores algo melancólicos y también con pasajes más orientados a la potencia del baile.

Componen este collage Pol Nada, Jin Yerei, Barda, El Remolón, Marco Selvaggio, Mente Orgánica, Xanducero, Cuervo Cuervo, Leo Silcan, Bicho, Manu Ela, Lautaro González aka Shoao, Galo Vermelho, Tomás Batista, Relo, Damia, Silly Tang ft. Once upon a time there was a pandemic that struck the world and forced us to stay in our homes, people were compelled to distance themselves and everything that seemed normal to us ceased to be so. Fears, frustrations, anger, insecurities... were some of the emotions that took over us, and in some cases, still do. Our system has reached its limit and we do not know how we will continue.

A little lost and confused, at Fértil Discos we felt the need to give ourselves over to the inspiration (or its difficulties) that this process produced and we launched a space for exchange, to receive music created at this time.

We realized that the prevailing idea of ​​linear and productive time was, in part, the cause of the collapse. Being Fuera del Tiempo invites us to think of a different time, to observe ourselves, stop and reflect ... In the bittersweet state of this pause, we await the emergence of a fertile void, to better understand who we are, where we are and where we go.

Fuera del Tiempo brings together 19 postcards of a break. 18 songs and a bonus track, of electronic, composed by producers from different latitudes, and invites us to a quiet and thoughtful journey, with somewhat melancholic moods and, simultaneously, powerful landscapes to dance in.

Fértil Discos presenta Eu Desci un nuevo EP de Manu Ela con remixes de Andi.Andean, Barda, Monkyman y Rodrigo Gallardo.

Manu Ela baja de los volcanes del Sur Patagónico y de las montañas de cristal mágico de Vale do Capao, observando los paisajes naturales, sus luces, sombras y poderes, con un track original que atraviesa fronteras... Una búsqueda de resonancias, conexiones, sonoridades que se cuelan en la sensibilidad del canto a la gran consciencia, los espíritus da natureza. 

El original sonido de Manu Ela nace en Santiago de Chile, influenciado por el Soul y el hip hop, para luego mezclarse con colores más ambient y ritmos más electrónicos. Más adelante su vida junto a la naturaleza es su gran inspiración e inicia un camino paralelo entre inventora y creadora de letras y melodías y la producción musical, la intervención de ritmos e instrumentos como la flauta y el ukelele, de manera genuina y autodidacta. Actualmente vive y se desenvuelve como música, productora, diseñadora y tatuadora en Berlín, Alemania, enriqueciéndose de la cultura artística de ese lugar.

“Por todas las veces que no pude bailar, que baile mi pasado y mi futuro” canta Pol Nada, referente de la psicodelia litoraleña contemporánea, tomando la frase de los bailarines, coreógrafos y pedagogos de la danza Lucas Condró y Pablo Messiez, en esta cumbia oscura que invita a bailar y desconectar como acto de reparación. 
 
Asimétrico es el próximo album de El Remolón y es una nueva experiencia que invita a deconstruír las normas tradicionales de la música electrónica y los sonidos mestizos, partiendo de la irregularidad y las zonas poco claras del mundo actual. Un viaje ecléctico que va de lo experimental al downtempo, del folk minimalista al techno noventoso, tomando la canción como modo expresión. 
 
Que Bailen estará disponible desde el viernes 11 de junio en todas las plataformas digitales para streaming y venta.
 
Sale acompañado en los próximos días de un videoclip producido y realizado por Damián Ancherama, quien además estuvo a cargo de la imágen de todo el disco.   

EL REMOLÓN es el alter ego de Andrés Schteingart, músico y productor argentino que experimenta con distintos ritmos latinoamericanos, en el universo que se abre cuando se mezclan con la electrónica. Forma parte desde los inicios del movimiento de la cumbia electrónica y el folclore digital como integrante de la ZZK crew y actualmente es quién lleva adelante la dirección general de Fértil Discos.

In this occasion, El Remolón presents together with Pol Nada, a reference of contemporary littoral psychedelia.

 “Por todas las veces que no pude bailar, que baile mi pasado y mi futuro” (For all the times I couldn't dance, let my past and my future dance) sings Pol Nada, taking the phrase of the dancers, choreographers and dance pedagogues Lucas Condró and Pablo Messiez, in this dark cumbia that invites  to dance and disconnect as an act of repair.

Asimétrico is a new experience that invites to deconstruct the traditional norms of electronic music and mestizo sounds, starting from the irregularity and unclear areas of today's world. An eclectic journey that goes from the experimental to the downtempo, from the minimalist folk to the 90's  techno, taking the song as an expression mode.

It will be accompanied in the next few days by a video clip produced and made by Damián Ancherama, who was also in charge of the image of the whole album.

El Remolón is the alter ego of Andrés Schteingart, argentine musician and producer, a pioneer of the electronic cumbia and digital folklore scene in Buenos Aires. With a vast career, which has 6 studio albums, with important collaborations and a lot of shows in different cities in Latin America and Europe, and after several years of introspection he presents his new studio work.
