Berghain residents Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann link back to Ostgut Ton’s label launch in 2006 with their first studio collaboration in ten years and the extended Phantom Studies, on occasion of the one hundredth O-TON 12“ EP release.

With Phantom Studies Dettmann | Klock channel their first joined releases Dawning (2006) and Scenario (2007) from over a decade ago with their first co-production in ten years. On this extended, 40-minute 2x12" EP Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock parlay their deep personal alliance and musical repertoire through emphasis on new functional Techno as much as hypnotic, melodic and soulful music by thinking outside the box. The seven new, original tracks reflect these attributions by communicating to the needs and expectations of both DJs and home audio listeners, but not neglecting one over the other.

It’s almost as if Techno is in Mark Reeve’s DNA. With the electronic pulses flowing through through his veins as the draw of the Techno Fatherland led Mark to settle in Germany, where he has since established his reputation on labels such as Cocoon, Drumcode, Bedrock, Soma and Trapez. A list that reads like the upper echelons of electronic music.

The natural extension of this journey was to start a label, called SubVision. SubVision has been quietly growing and maturing in approach, to reach this point - the launch of 'SubVision Various'. A forward thinking selection of all new cutting edge music where the SubVision roster grows to break new artists alongside established names at the top of their game. Swamp literally and figuratively means diversity and variety, hence the change of the stage name. The Swamp is Mo:Dem's home for Dark Progressive, Psy Bass, Dub, Breaks, Techno, Glitch and other various styles of music. With PSYCHEDELIC as only common denominator and DANCE as the main philosophy behind it. With full seven days of non-stop music program The Swamp will be counterbalance to faster and heavier musical styles presented at The Hive.

The Swamp is one of the biggest news in this years edition of our Festival. New chapter in life of Mo:Dem marks the beginning of concept with three musical stages.
