Concept: This is Padzukko, an off-sale powder candy discarded from production due to an excess of chemicals and strange taste-enhancers that made each piece unique and delicious. Although Kris and Asriel, the town's notorious troublemakers, relished every nibble of Padzukko candy, the sweet eventually fell out of favor among the adults. Though Kris has grown up, Padzukko is overjoyed yet remorseful to see them again: he will seek to brighten their spirit, yet force them to be happy regardless.

Kris finally starts their journey back home, meeting up with Suzy and Lesley at the foot of the mountain. As the three of them walk, Kris and Suzy tell Lesley all about their adventure.

They encounter various monsters along the way, some of them stick around to near the end of the journey home, depending on whether Kris met certain conditions when sparing them. Every main boss Kris has faced makes appearances as well, but as they're busy with their own things won't end up sticking around.

Specific events are faintly displayed in the sky as Kris and Suzy are (implied to be) talking about them. No actual dialogue is really shown, though there is the occasional bit of text just like there is in Undertale for each of the monsters, here detailing their future ambitions.
