"Warlord - Anthem For The Metallurky" - a tracked metal / chiptune metal vibed tune I wrote in June 2025 for the Battle Of The Bits "Spring Tracks XIV"-compo / classic DOS module-category. Written with OpenMPT in .it / Impulse Tracker-module format. 

I dedicate tune to all the old tracked #metalscene farts. You know who you are :) As for the song title - Metallurky was one of the central archive & review type of sites for tracked metal modules back in the 00s.

What an honour to create a track for STAFFcirc’s 10th anniversary. I’m extremely grateful to Sergio and the gang for allowing me this privilege. After a few false starts trying to create a serene pondy atmosphere I eventually changed course and settled on something loud and rhythmic, imagining a circle of frogs fervently dancing around a small fire made of twigs. A night of froggy passion, croaky wailing and spawn flying. The main synth chord part was made by resampling a bounce of one of my previous serene attempts, chucking it into Serum 2’s spectral synth. Here’s to many more years of froggy fun.
