Real World Records was founded by WOMAD and Peter Gabriel to provide talented artists from around the world with access to state-of-the-art recording facilities and audiences beyond their geographic region.

Launched in 1989, Real World Records has grown into a label of wide-ranging, world-class music from all corners of the globe.

The Colony formed in October 2006, with achievements including support slots at the O2 Academy, Garage 2, ABC2, Tolbooth and the Barrowlands.

In this time we have supported bands such as Bleed From Within, Casino Brawl, Forevervoid, Afterlife and Final Silence.

In July 2011 The Colony released their debut E.P ‘Romper Stomper’ and in November 2013 released their debut Album ‘Dust and Stone’. Both which are available to download on all digital outlets.

The Colony are currently working with Rodavox Management for their second album ‘Time Of Wolves’ which is due to be released in July 2015.

From humble origins in Detroit, raised on a healthy diet of Motown, Jazz and early Hip Hop – Terrel Wallace (aka Tall Black Guy) has become a standard bearer for the current hip hop beats scene. Through a steady stream of productions filled with incredibly clever sample flips and deft production chops, he has won fans across the world, including Gilles Peterson (who included him on one of his Brownswood Bubblers albums), Lefto, Anthony Valadez, Jazzy Jeff, Questlove and countless others. With the tangible beginnings of worldwide recognition, Tall Black Guy has established himself to be one of the most influential producers working today.

2011-2020 has seen TBG's first vinyl releases with bstrd boots, First Word Records, Ubiquity Records and his own imprint Tall Black Guy Productions (TBGP).
