“I don’t want to simply change with the times, I want to be the reason the times change” – This statement embodies everything music artist King Kash stands for and gives us an insight into his creative vision. Born in Ukraine to Ugandan parents & raised in East London by age tender age of 8 he had already started rapping whilst being a cellist in his school orchestra. The artist / producer, who is also an Engineering Science graduate from London’s Queen Mary University has gone on to perform in venues across the U.K.

Leaving no stone unturned King Kash has built his support from the ground up whether it be from from Local radio stations to industry tastemakers such as: SBTV & Flavour Magazine. Keen to present his music in its best light, a major part of his campaign has been self-funding and organising his own shows since 2006. Having gone from selling his first Mixtape in the streets of London’s West End to performing at the London 2012 Paralympic Games King Kash’s vision knows no bounds. He has now partnered up with mobile network provider 'More Mobile UK' as part of a sponsorship deal.

SKEE-LO's first hit record was titled "I Wish." The "I Wish" single with a video that parodied Forrest Gump, became a huge hit on radio and TV during the summer of 1995 and, his identically titled, self produced debut album was released shortly thereafter; earning him two (2) Grammy nominations for "Best Rap Solo," & Best Rap Album. Later single releases would include “Top of The Stairs” from the "(Money Train" movie), "Come Back To Me” (from the "Big Bully" movie), “Mr. Morton” from the (School House Rock Album Project), and “I’ll be Your Everything,” (which he co-wrote with the Boy-Band-Group) “Youngs Town” for the “Inspector Gadget" movie. All of which were "multi-platinum" releases.

In 1996 -1997, SKEE-LO became a V.J. for both MTV's "The Beach House," & MTV's "The Grind;" thereafter making appearances as (lead actor) on television shows like Dangerous Minds, Goode Behavior & Bay Watch Nights. 

In August 2012; Skee-Lo’s new independent record label "SKEELO MUSIK," inked an exclusive distribution agreement with MRI and Red Music, a division of SONY MUSIC, via Whatevaok Entertainment under the auspices of Lamar Leggard, (Associate Director of Digital Operations for Red Music and “Sony Music Entertainment. The agreement includes worldwide exclusive digital distribution rights and physical distribution in the US and Canada..

On November 13, 2012; SKEE-LO released a new album entitled "FRESH IDEAS." His 1st single of 2013 aptly titled “Vibe is Right” marks a trifecta return for Skee-Lo. Renewed interest in Skee-Lo and “I Wish” has been sparked by inclusion in 3 of Toyota’s Rav 4 national commercials featuring, ‘Big Bang Theory’ star Kaley Cuoco. The first commercial, which debuted during the 2013 Super Bowl Game, has received over 16 million views and; sales of the “I Wish” album has hit an all time high. Wish granted!

North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, rapper—and Street Spittas Entertainment CEO—Miz MAF (an acronym for Money and Family) is ringing bells regionally and across the nation, all from the comfort of his very own lane. “My music can be described as Reality Rap,” he says confidently. “That’s the lane I created for myself.” 

All of the music in his catalog reflects his actual life, no fairy tales. “It’s [really] the reality of it,” he says. “It’s not just one singular genre; it’s not just trap or gangsta music.” The tangible output he releases into the world is a variety of honest perspectives of his daily existence—and it’s dripping in authenticity.

“Music has always been a part of me … it was always was a household thing growing up and it just so happened to match the lifestyle and the reality I was living in and seeing,” he explains. “It was a culture thing, and I lived in the culture until I felt like I could make music myself.”

Building a buzz in his city, even collaborating and touring with hometown hero Freeway, he has released one official LP —2018’s Behold A Pale Horse, which surpassed 200K streams—and the single “Act Right,” both of which are available on streaming platforms internationally. Currently, MAF is working on numerous producer based projects; he has two collaborative albums in the pipe, Hammer and Crack the Concrete, as well as a project with DJ NoPhrillz. 

“I got singles that aren’t going to be on any specific project, which are designed to both attack the Billboard charts and populate my 3M [new music] series dropping throughout the year,” he adds.

Having appeared on numerous major platforms, within the pages of publications stateside and abroad, and been heard on radio stations up and down the east coast, MAF’s journey—already marked with some notable highs—is only just starting.
