Persephone is a four piece indie rock outfit from Halifax NS forever in a catwalk between lustful heartache and fiery disposition. Our music leaves the listener feeling both broken and captivated in excitement. The melancholic vocals of Kassandra Pitt paired with the meticulously crafted guitar palet of Tom Zareski pays homage to the lonely nights we’ve all had. Contradictingly, Nick Whorall brings momentum in his playful bass lines along with the sporadic energy of Ezra Garrison, whose drumming brings drive to each song. Persephone’s sound combines elements of pop and post punk to produce an organic variation of indie rock.

MrGuitarPlayer is a performer, songwriter, guitar player and engineer/producer and music composer with 40+ years of industry experience. Currently songwriting, composing music for film and recording, MrGuitarPlayer is placing songs with local and international artists, as well as work as an independent producer for artists, bands and independent film industry. Specializing in well-crafted Rock-Pop songs with solid memorable choruses, interesting story-based verses and solidly formed bridges, MrGuitarPlayer has worked with many artists over the years in a variety of roles wearing many different hats. His musical influences are diverse, with the usual artists and bands evident, he prefers Rock Pop but has also leaping into New Country, Folk as well as musical compositions. MrGuitarPlayer is also a founding member of Music Nova Scotia 1989 to 1997 and President of the Songwriter's Association of Nova Scotia from 1995 to 2002. MrGuitarPlayer also has membership with many professional music organizations including Music Nova Scotia, ECMA, CMRRA and SOCAN. He is available for recording, song evaluation and music industry consulting sessions by appointment, always up for a coffee and a chat.
