Formula Records digital-only imprint F2 heads into 2016 on firing form, with two low-slung anthems in the waiting from Leeds-based producer Joedan.

New talent that effectively harnesses the dual process of warm bass weight and sheer dancefloor energy were the perimeters set out when F2 launched last year, and in Joedan the Formula team have one of their strongest new artists yet. Coming with a vocal bubbler courtesy of Mr. Chiverton, blending woodblock snares and bassline energy with an effusive call to that special lady in the dance. Caned by the Formula Records family in recent months, ‘Lower My Glasses’ delivers an anthem that coherently blends together a wealth of UK influences.

‘Tuff’ does exactly what it says on the tin. Leading with stepping garage percussion, 4x4 kicks and classic funk-fuelled keys, this one is all smooth and light before the one minute mark turns the track on it’s head with a bassline constructed to bounce around any four walls within which it’s aired. A mixture of musicality for the listeners and pure rave intensity for the clubs, with their latest package F2 continues to push the very best developing talent in the underground.
