Relative Dimensions kick off 2017 with a massive bang. In 1998 Air gave us the amazing moon safari album.
In 2017 it's been given a remix of huge proportions. We kick off with JPrimes reworking of 'Ce Matin La', heavy drums, base that'll make granny get out of the rocking chair, and a heavy slice of PE thrown in.
Up next is Leygo and his rework of the classic 'Kelly Watch the stars'. A mellow house huge dancefloor chugger that remains sympathetic to the original.
Then, who else than Monstafunk. When Air made 'Sexy Boy' little did they know that one of the best remixers in the game would drop lyrics on top of it about pussy, ass, and weed. All trademarks of the genius that is Monstafunk.
Lastly, Vinyl Messi takes 'All I need', picks it up, gives it a shake, and gives it a DnB flavour that would make even the most dour Parisian get on the dancefloor.

Unity, what does it mean to Cockney Nutjob and Kurnel MC? Unit E was the ward @kurnelmc was put in after he broke his elbow raving. Unity is the undivided togetherness @cockneynutjob feels while caressing a cheese burger at a festival. 

Either way, we can agree it means coming together as one. Which is what’s happened on this historic slab of good times for your ear holes. 

@cockneynutjob and @kurnelmc have been working together for a good portion of their musical journey. Both dip in and out of personal projects, but one things for sure. If you’re at a festival and you hear wobbly Reggae and an enthusiastic kiwi with honey in his voice? You’ve stumbled across the duo.

Unity - The title joint and a true pace setter for the project. Picture yourself in a festival tent, five wines too many, hazy from the jazz fag some one recently passed to you. Jumping up and down high fiving homies to the militant reggae stomp accompanied by belly shaking bass while Kurnel keeps your hands in the air!

Drenched - we remain on the party vibe and the consistent reggae sampled, synth bass back drop. The boys ensure you have your togs on and are willing to let all your hairs hang out in the deep end while they provide entertainment and keep on the wrong side of the lifeguard. 

Parents anthem - Right it’s out the pool and on the piss. Both the lads are family men and have escaped for the night. They have more than one thing in their sights. Grog, late night mystery meat from abra-kebabra and some questionable Dad dancing. Either way this slab of audio doner meat is a theme all parents can get down to!
 
Get it - Finishing the package on a high. Continuing the theme of reggae and wobbles that distinguishes these two gentlemen. Kurnel points out that even if it’s sleep for dinner and the electrics packed in. As long as you have good friends, good vibes and dope music the rest will fall into place.

BadboE is now ready to drop his long-anticipated second album Pump Up The Funk, which will once again cause a stir and up the ante by combining BadboE’s sampling techniques with original vocals and live instrumental recordings. On this album, BadboE has managed to flow seamlessly from classic funky breaks through glitchy ghetto funk to Soul, Disco, Reggae, Jazz and even Swing. It all blends perfectly under BadboE’s treatment, and delivers the diversity that a good album should have.

Pump Up The Funk features a wide range of vocalists from all over the world with one common goal – to add a new chapter to the much-loved story of funk and soul. Street poet and live performer MC Kitch from Australia, drops rhythmic party rap on the Introduction and Ghetto Funkalicious tunes while the UK's talented MC Coppa lays down his trademark dynamic vocals on summer jam One Of Those Days. USbased Leon The Pro, slams some b-boy rapping on soul cut In A Hurry, Italian MC Rayna gets her swing on in the Hit It Maestro jam and Claire G Phunk from Australia, delivers soulful vocals on Ghetto Funk Joint Whatcha Gonna Do For Me. Finally Michael DeVellis and vocalist Nina Zeitlin from New York get
busy on the groovy What's It Gonna Be. 

Throughout the album, multi-talented Michael DeVellis, lays down live-recorded horns, strings, keys and flutes to create original soul and funk on the tracks. Furthermore, BadboE has gone back to sample some diamonds from rare old funk and soul 45’s to ensure the presence of those authentic magical vibes from
back in the day. As if that wasn’t enough, BadboE even takes on the challenge of recreating the Hunk Fop tune by German funk group Grand Slam from the original master tapes.

The result is cast iron proof that the funk is still very much alive in 2012 in a vital contemporary form. The ghetto funk genre is now a worldwide phenomenon with active scenes in Europe, Canada and Australia and word spreads further by the day. As long as BadboE is around, it's a certified fact that there will be enough funky street jams around to get the whole world on board to celebrate the funk!

Founded by Boe Pedersen (Dj BadboE) in Denmark, and now based in Florida. The label originates from the music website Breakbeat Paradise that has been running since 1996. Breakbeat Paradise is dedicated to breakers and electronic musicians within the style of music that we can loosely term as breakbeat. Developing and improving this website over the last 10 years to include everything from visitor music sharing, annual breakbeat contests, samplekits and discussion forum. We felt that going into digital music distribution would be a natural next step.

The music material on the Breakbeat Paradise website has over 1000 pieces of music. Breakbeat Paradise Recordings will  pick up the very best  “cream of the crop”, artists  and tunes and release them as digital downloads through Breakbeat Paradise Recordings  collaborative partners . We found digital distribution would match perfect with our cutting-edge funky breakbeat music and the fastest way from  the streets – to the listener and dancefloor!

With only exclusive vinyl and digital releases , we are always focused on the most important thing for us – the music! 

The music will span from traditional nu funk and funky breaks to more dancefloor oriented ghetto funk,  future funk and big beat as well as hip hop with a glitch and the more mellow side of the drum ‘n’ bass and nu breaks. The sound of Breakbeat Paradise is driven by an emphatic beat that is intended to form a leitmotif between the releases.

Even though releases from Breakbeat Paradise will be coming from different artists, we always uniform a sound by focusing within the genres of breakbeat.  Collaborators and musicians work close together on our label and we are always ensuring a brand of selective “state of the art“, quality and sound .
