Italian producer Freedust is all about the funk-soul and the breaks blended with some lighthearted vocals that makes a sound that&rsquo;s is both classic and new. The sounds of Freedust is just the type of music we can&rsquo;t resist here at BBP - so when Mako &amp; Mr Bristow brought forward their epic big beat remix of My New Sunglasses - we did not think twice to get all over this project.
To complete the package we brought in 2 veterans in the funky breaks scene: BadboE &amp; Dj B-Side to do their funky thing on a party-breaks remix.
My New Sunglasses is the title track of Freedust&rsquo;s debut album from 2021 by the same name and features some classic grooves and some sweet vocals from Swedish singer Lisa Widmark.
On the remix front Mako &amp; Mr Bristow has captured the essential samples of the original and added some big bouncy beats and made it their own. BadboE &amp; B-Side has brough the track to the dancefloors with some ghetto vibes and human beatbox beats.

BBP is back with another compilation, and this time we&rsquo;re going all summer on it. Paradise Lounge is designed for all aspects of summer. Be it in the Lounge bar, chill-out area or the dancefloor, this compilation provides for all, and kicks off with a bang.
Two awesome producers combine forces for the intro track, and we know we&rsquo;re in for a party, when Crash Party &amp; Boydex get together. They&rsquo;re bringing back those feels of the breakdancing days with &lsquo;Rescue Me&rsquo;, that will be sure to get for feet tapping, both on the sofa and on the dancefloor. The same goes for Bright Idea, who knows his chilled vibes, yet is a funky brother, and hasn&rsquo;t disappointed with this, smooth down-tempo house number call &lsquo;Fun at the Disco&rsquo;. Imagine a beautiful sunset at Caf&eacute; Del Mar, with a mojito in one hand, winding hips and a huge smile on your face... then you&rsquo;re there. Up next is a man that needs absolutely no introduction. You hear the name Pecoe, and you know instantly you&rsquo;re in for something good with &lsquo;Need a Friend&rsquo;. A rolling bassline, riffing guitars, and more soulful vocals, that changes up to keep you wanting more. Yet again he hits the mark. It&rsquo;s a pleasure getting this next artist on yet another BBP compilation, as we know we will be getting something great. Jayl Funk has read the vibe perfectly with &lsquo;She is Hot&rsquo; and is an ideal fit for this compilation, with a track filled with summer vibes, you can enjoy in all settings.
Next up is Gramophone Soul, who should be a name synonymous with quality, and yet again the man delivers. His remix of this classic, &lsquo;Trouble&rsquo; fits in anywhere, be it at the festival, the club, or just in the chillout area. A rising star in the edit and remix of classics scene, is the man like LROY. After delivering a stormer of a tune for the very successful Boot of Paradise compilation, he&rsquo;s back with a Boom and a Bap!! Getting super soulful with &lsquo;Soul Break&rsquo;, you get exactly what it says on the tin... Soul and a badass break!
Last up, is a new guy on the scene, going by KaKaow. This guy is a musical talent, using live instruments, and combining them to compose a super funky little number called &lsquo;Shimmer&rsquo;, that makes you reminisce back to those 80&rsquo;s funk days.

Even though the original has been remixed several times in the past, we're loving what D-Funk has done with his remix and we're sure you will too. A stripped-back feel is soon given a gritty edge thanks to the deep rumble of a sawtooth bassline, which adds a meaty texture to the otherwise sweet-sounding remake. Sticking with LSM tradition, we are kicking advent off with an exclusive track from multi-award winning music producer, film maker and DJ Rory Hoy. Of course, the original "Everybody Needs a 303" is a track by big beat don Fatboy Slim, released in 1996 as the first single from his legendary album Better Living Through Chemistry. Mr Hoy revamps it for 2020, adding his unique touch, it is funk fueled and dance floor ready.

Founded by Boe Pedersen (Dj BadboE) in Denmark, and now based in Florida. The label originates from the music website Breakbeat Paradise that has been running since 1996. Breakbeat Paradise is dedicated to breakers and electronic musicians within the style of music that we can loosely term as breakbeat. Developing and improving this website over the last 10 years to include everything from visitor music sharing, annual breakbeat contests, samplekits and discussion forum. We felt that going into digital music distribution would be a natural next step.

The music material on the Breakbeat Paradise website has over 1000 pieces of music. Breakbeat Paradise Recordings will  pick up the very best  “cream of the crop”, artists  and tunes and release them as digital downloads through Breakbeat Paradise Recordings  collaborative partners . We found digital distribution would match perfect with our cutting-edge funky breakbeat music and the fastest way from  the streets – to the listener and dancefloor!

With only exclusive vinyl and digital releases , we are always focused on the most important thing for us – the music! 

The music will span from traditional nu funk and funky breaks to more dancefloor oriented ghetto funk,  future funk and big beat as well as hip hop with a glitch and the more mellow side of the drum ‘n’ bass and nu breaks. The sound of Breakbeat Paradise is driven by an emphatic beat that is intended to form a leitmotif between the releases.

Even though releases from Breakbeat Paradise will be coming from different artists, we always uniform a sound by focusing within the genres of breakbeat.  Collaborators and musicians work close together on our label and we are always ensuring a brand of selective “state of the art“, quality and sound .
