BBP is back with another compilation, and this time we’re going all summer on it. Paradise Lounge is designed for all aspects of summer. Be it in the Lounge bar, chill-out area or the dancefloor, this compilation provides for all, and kicks off with a bang. 

Two awesome producers combine forces for the intro track, and we know we’re in for a party, when Crash Party & Boydex get together. They’re bringing back those feels of the breakdancing days with ‘Rescue Me’, that will be sure to get for feet tapping, both on the sofa and on the dancefloor. The same goes for Bright Idea, who knows his chilled vibes, yet is a funky brother, and hasn’t disappointed with this, smooth down-tempo house number call ‘Fun at the Disco’. Imagine a beautiful sunset at Café Del Mar, with a mojito in one hand, winding hips and a huge smile on your face... then you’re there. 
Up next is a man that needs absolutely no introduction. You hear the name Pecoe, and you know instantly you’re in for something good with ‘Need a Friend’. A rolling bassline, riffing guitars, and more soulful vocals, that changes up to keep you wanting more. Yet again he hits the mark. It’s a pleasure getting this next artist on yet another BBP compilation, as we know we will be getting something great. Jayl Funk has read the vibe perfectly with ‘She is Hot’ and is an ideal fit for this compilation, with a track filled with summer vibes, you can enjoy in all settings. 

Next up is Gramophone Soul, who should be a name synonymous with quality, and yet again the man delivers. His remix of this classic, ‘Trouble’ fits in anywhere, be it at the festival, the club, or just in the chillout area. A rising star in the edit and remix of classics scene, is the man like LROY. After delivering a stormer of a tune for the very successful Boot of Paradise compilation, he’s back with a Boom and a Bap!! Getting super soulful with ‘Soul Break’, you get exactly what it says on the tin... Soul and a badass break! 

Last up, is a new guy on the scene, going by KaKaow. This guy is a musical talent, using live instruments, and combining them to compose a super funky little number called ‘Shimmer’, that makes you reminisce back to those 80’s funk days.

5AF teamed up with funk legend Bootsy Collins for this hit. With Bootsy's unmistakable voice and bass line and Five Alarm Funk's exceptional groove and horn section, "We Play The Funk" became an homage to the genre. CMC & Silenta in their unique style used the parts of the song to produce a driving anthem.
The rhythms of the horn section are supported by unique percussion and then explode in the main part with the driving creaky bass and dry drums. The final touch is the powerful "We Play The Funk" vocal with the trademark sound of Bootsy Collins.

Big Beat Sundays is back with their first track of the year and this one is a Big Beat Party starter from start to finish. “Freddy Fresh Ate My Hamster” sees the producers Sonale and Crash Party combine their talents to mould this Big Beat belter.
Big beats, horn stabs, Looped vocals, phat bass and cheeky synthesis - All the ingredients for any Big Beat era tune.
With a title such as “Freddy Fresh Ate My Hamster” it would be remiss for this release not to pay further homage to one of the god fathers of Big Beat, by asking the man himself, Freddy Fresh, to remix it. Freddy turns in a slower based bass thumping, latin twisted remix for the connoisseurs out there and we are chuffed to bits with it!
Funky breaks and sample wizard Lebrosk turns in a tasty cut ’n’ paste inspired remix, giving the tracks a lick of his own tasty production style. Finally, to round out the release, there is a Big Beat Sundays remix, tapping into a love of the likes of Mighty Dub Katz and Basement Jaxx to deliver a 4x4 pounder designed for the dance floor.

Founded by Boe Pedersen (Dj BadboE) in Denmark, and now based in Florida. The label originates from the music website Breakbeat Paradise that has been running since 1996. Breakbeat Paradise is dedicated to breakers and electronic musicians within the style of music that we can loosely term as breakbeat. Developing and improving this website over the last 10 years to include everything from visitor music sharing, annual breakbeat contests, samplekits and discussion forum. We felt that going into digital music distribution would be a natural next step.

The music material on the Breakbeat Paradise website has over 1000 pieces of music. Breakbeat Paradise Recordings will  pick up the very best  “cream of the crop”, artists  and tunes and release them as digital downloads through Breakbeat Paradise Recordings  collaborative partners . We found digital distribution would match perfect with our cutting-edge funky breakbeat music and the fastest way from  the streets – to the listener and dancefloor!

With only exclusive vinyl and digital releases , we are always focused on the most important thing for us – the music! 

The music will span from traditional nu funk and funky breaks to more dancefloor oriented ghetto funk,  future funk and big beat as well as hip hop with a glitch and the more mellow side of the drum ‘n’ bass and nu breaks.
