After releasing the second EP by the Funkin Basstards we though it would be appropriate to follow up with a remix EP of the 4 originals jams from the Drop The Mirrorball EP.To do that in style we hooked up with some of the best producers in the scene to all put their personal twist on these catchy disco bangers.
Starting this off with the label head honcho BadboE who comes heavily armed with the nu skool breaks and some silky smooth disco grooves for the Feel The Vibe track. A classic BadboE treatment with multiple sections of grooves to bring out the very best of the sweet vocals by Sofia Kamina.
To follow this up we’ve turned to the true veteran from the funky breaks scene that can do no wrong when it comes to remixing. Jayl Funk is at it again with some well-arranged nu disco flavors to skillfully transform the lead track 2000 feat. Sofia Kamina into a smashing Jayl Funk anthem.

If you want the unspoiled breakbeat funk there is only one remixer to call for: Pecoe. He done a number on the originally mellow Drop The Mirrorball and turned it into a dancefloor breakbeat banger!

Last but not lease we wanted to turn up the heat a bit and invited the Sons of Satin to do some uptempo hardcore breaks remix of the Soul Disco jam.

That concludes another epic treatment of some classic original funky disco jams from the Breakbeat Paradise Recordings camp.

It’s about time we drop another funky Peoce EP on you – and on this 4-tracker he goes back to the roots of the funky breaks that he is known and loved for.

Get The Funk is the perfect name for all these tracks that is designed to send you on the dancefloor with a big smile on your face.
Following up on the Have Faith release where he teamed up with Boydex but for this drop Pecoe is going in solo.

Starting off with the straight-up funky title tune Get The Funk taking things back to the oldskool with some classic DJ samples and some finger snapping funky grooves.

The second cut Oh My Gawd - follows along the same lines with catchy funky grooves and some big progressive beats.
Girls That Go Boom keeps the funk levels high while throwing in some catchy dancefloor vocals to go with the funky wah-wah guitars.
Last but not least Pecoe picks up the tempo a bit by reworking some classic dance vocals which goes perfectly with the funky horns and steady rocking beats on the Baby It’s You jam.  

Another winner from the always reliable Pecoe and straight to the funky BBP vault.

We are back with Mosek's Everybody remixes. With this brand new release we managed to collect three fresh remixes from Timewarp, Lego Boy and Pecoe. 

The release opens with Timewarp's remix version. With his remix Timewarp brings on the table a classic balearic disco mix blended with spacey and cosmic grooves, warm rhodes keys followed with a strong nu disco house concept with tape echoes under a big disco groove, while keeping the original song's vibe. 

Lego Boy brings his deep house style remix version. With a slow building he managed to take the song into another dimension under a sophisticated arrangement, cooked with cosmic arpeggiators, and, by only keeping the vocal and the baseline groove from the original song. 

Australian Pecoe showcases his skills with a modern disco groove while he presents some 90's style elements. This way he provides a warm funky attitude boogie disco remix over the original, blending the old school style with a new school vibe.

This is the music that really took me around the globe and people associate Krafty Kuts with. For me some, of the most exciting and fresh sounding music has been with the breakbeat scene over the years. Playing to 40,000 people at the Exit Festival, headlining shows across Australia & New Zealand to big Festivals in the UK & Europe, USA & Canada. So many great artists have been a part of the Breaks scene ie. Freq Nasty, Plump DJ's, Stanton Warriors, Adam Freeland, Evil 9, DJ Icey, Deekline, Prodigy, Meat Katie, Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Rennie Pilgrem, Soul Of Man, Squarepusher, Pendulum, DJ Zinc & many more are all featured in this podcast. This was a trip down memory lane and I remember watching people lose there mind to so many of these tunes over the years and it's really good to see the Breakbeat scene still flourishing once again.

At one of my shows in San Francisco recently I got one of the strangest song requests of my career. I was in the middle of mixing in a funky glitch hop throw back banger, when a girl came up and asked for some Fleetwood Mac. Naturally, I had nothing for her. Equipped with a thumpin’ groove by producer AHEE, listeners are soon warned it’s going to take a whole life to “Get It Right.” A love story has its genesis in “Classic” through a decelerated alto, as deep affections are proclaimed towards the beloved. Gangster rap legend Mitchy Slick joins in on “30 Stores Up,” produced by chillhop mastermind Cloudchord, as they look into a past life through melodious house tunes. Founded by Boe Pedersen (Dj BadboE) in Denmark, and now based in Florida. The label originates from the music website Breakbeat Paradise that has been running since 1996. Breakbeat Paradise is dedicated to breakers and electronic musicians within the style of music that we can loosely term as breakbeat. Developing and improving this website over the last 10 years to include everything from visitor music sharing, annual breakbeat contests, samplekits and discussion forum. We felt that going into digital music distribution would be a natural next step.

The music material on the Breakbeat Paradise website has over 1000 pieces of music. Breakbeat Paradise Recordings will  pick up the very best  “cream of the crop”, artists  and tunes and release them as digital downloads through Breakbeat Paradise Recordings  collaborative partners . We found digital distribution would match perfect with our cutting-edge funky breakbeat music and the fastest way from  the streets – to the listener and dancefloor!

With only exclusive vinyl and digital releases , we are always focused on the most important thing for us – the music! 

The music will span from traditional nu funk and funky breaks to more dancefloor oriented ghetto funk,  future funk and big beat as well as hip hop with a glitch and the more mellow side of the drum ‘n’ bass and nu breaks. The sound of Breakbeat Paradise is driven by an emphatic beat that is intended to form a leitmotif between the releases.

Even though releases from Breakbeat Paradise will be coming from different artists, we always uniform a sound by focusing within the genres of breakbeat.  Collaborators and musicians work close together on our label and we are always ensuring a brand of selective “state of the art“, quality and sound .

We will devote ourselves to deliver the phattest, funkiest and the biggest grooves to be found out there...
