@brightideaofficial awakens Cuttin’ It Fine from their slumber. We took a few months off from dropping heat on your lug holes, but the time has come to unearth another four track EP that’s going to split wigs wherever it’s played:

Kicking of proceedings with “Good Good”. That’s right, it’s that fresh we said it twice. To be fair, the deal was sealed the minute we heard this joint. Bright Idea comes correct with a reggae infused glitch number. You’ll have to book a Chiro appointment after listening to this to get your neck fixed.

Coming through next is “Listen Up”. We take the tempo up a notch and supply a bed of synths, stabs and growls. This track delivers a solid bounce making it primed for dancefloors so make room in your crates for this belter.

Hot on the heels is a firm favourite at Cuttin’ It Fine HQ “Hold It Down” Taking a soulful sample and surrounding it with superb sound design. This joint has an edgy feel while appealing to those looking for a riddim reminiscent of R&B. 

Wrapping up this parcel of heat, we finish on “Break It Down”. This is another party mover. Once again Bright Idea calls upon his arsenal of synths and sound design to produce a well-earned glitch stomper for the masses! Coming to a club near you, we’re on the home run!

Its time to get busy on some serious classic BBP dancefloor bangers from the Mined & Forrest crew and put a twist on them with an epic remix package.
We've invited some of the very best producers in the Electronic Funk scene to remix 5 of the biggest Mined &amp; Forrest tunes from their 4 BBP EPs as well as a brand new VIP Mix of the Coming Though track to go with it.

Starting off, Lack Jemmon is bringing out the big guns to really smash up the Funk Toxic jam with their signature fat bass electro treatment. Followed up by label boss man BadboE taking the smooth Gimme The Best joint and wrapping some groovy boogie vibes and some jazzy elements to the equation.

Beat Le Juice takes on the Rock It banger from Mined &amp; Forrest latest EP and transforms it into a catchy disco bass house jam. BBP's very own B-Side has returned to put some additional heat and funk into the epic There It Is jam.
Wrapping up the EP with Mr Bristow's creative Drum'N'Bass remix of the mellow Fire Back tune before ending things with Mined & Forrest remixing their own Coming Though jam into an even bassier VIP mix.

We get a lot of submissions at Cuttin’ It Fine Headquarters, but very few turn our heads as much as this one. @azido88 is a respected producer and has made some serious waves in the Lo-Fi scene. He’s teamed up with Cadillacque on this release (who was new to us) but definitely an MC we’ll be watching closely in the future. 

We are proud to present: Azido 88 & Cadillacque - Heavy Hitters 

The original: Cue boom bap drums, heavy bass, melodic strings and horns. Pretty much everything that gets us excited here at Cuttin’ It Fine. Cadillacque does the beat justice with clever wordplay and a hard-bodied delivery, making this track one to stand the test of time. 

X-Ray Ted: @xraybreaks version won’t disappoint if you’ve followed his work over the last few years. He adds some dancefloor magic and sprinkles a dash of disco over the stems. He’s taking this one up a notch for getting crowds moving and keeping people's DJ crates firmly in is sight. 

Roast Beatz: @roastbeatz has been pretty active on releases lately and his remix is reminiscent of a lot of bass heavy 808 tracks he’s been putting out. He’s chopped up the samples giving it a new feel, added rolling hi hats while totally re-working the hook with his signature cuts. This one needs to be played on a large system for full effect! 

DZRT FRST: A totally new sound for Cuttin’ It Fine but one which features in a lot of our streams. @dzrtfrst has turned the original into a dirty house stomper, giving it a completely new feel to the original. He hasn’t held any punches and this track will be the perfect accompaniment for DJ’s who have a packed dance floor.

It wouldn&rsquo;t be a real BBP year if we didn&rsquo;t have a new EP drop from our always reliable - always funky man: Morlack. As so many times before Morlack brings us the funky heat by going back to the timeless classics to pick out pieces to wrap into his own special style of electro bass funk.
The Closet&nbsp;Freak EP showcases the very best of the Morlack-style starting off with a big rearrangement of a classic soul jam on the Papa Was. Moving on to the title jam Closet Freak that brings out the big dancefloor vibes and boogie basslines with some rnb vocals to go with it.Plastic Love brings down the tempo a bit but the big groove remains on this smooth joint that elegant merges silky soul with electro beats and basslines.It Gets To Me brings it back to the heavier dancefloor vibes with some big classic rap flows for the win. Finally, we see another 2020 twist on one of Morlacks classic joint called Freakout that shows party breaks at its finest.

After the highly successful release of last year's “Politics of Greed”, Omegaman is back with another rebellious protest song, a take on world affairs in 2021.  For “Rebel Rocker”, Omegaman has brought in Nigerian born vocalist Ikenna, and the legendary guitarist of The Specials, Roddy Radiation.  “The system made me a Rebel Rocker,” and this one is all about the systemic corruption, lies, and war mongering by governments around the globe, which has forced the downtrodden to start pushing back. The searing vocals of Ikenna deliver the message true, and straight from the heart.

Not only does Rebel Rocker feature the extra Special guest Roddy Radiation on lead guitar, but also Marty Fabok of the Allniters and Ozkas on rhythm guitar.  And the horns section is on loan from The Skastards, making this a global collaboration! The tune really hits home with a massive line-up of live instrumentation, drums, bass, layered guitars, keys, horns, and an ocean of vocals.  All of these pieces come together brilliantly to create a groovy ska protest song for the modern era, complete with a wailing guitar solo by Roddy!

While Omegaman's original is one for the head-nodding rudeboy massive, Qdup was brought on to increase the pressure and make a remix for the dance floor.  Without overdoing it, Qdup deftly warps the bassline, adds some glitched out effects and kicks up the tempo.  This is party with a purpose, and Qdup's trademark funky beats will get even the most jaded punters dancing and skanking about! The world is fed up with the status quo, and this remix is the perfect anthem to pump up the massive. Instrumentals of both tracks are included with this release. Founded by Boe Pedersen (Dj BadboE) in Denmark, and now based in Florida. The label originates from the music website Breakbeat Paradise that has been running since 1996. Breakbeat Paradise is dedicated to breakers and electronic musicians within the style of music that we can loosely term as breakbeat. Developing and improving this website over the last 10 years to include everything from visitor music sharing, annual breakbeat contests, samplekits and discussion forum. We felt that going into digital music distribution would be a natural next step.

The music material on the Breakbeat Paradise website has over 1000 pieces of music. Breakbeat Paradise Recordings will  pick up the very best  “cream of the crop”, artists  and tunes and release them as digital downloads through Breakbeat Paradise Recordings  collaborative partners . We found digital distribution would match perfect with our cutting-edge funky breakbeat music and the fastest way from  the streets – to the listener and dancefloor!

With only exclusive vinyl and digital releases , we are always focused on the most important thing for us – the music! 

The music will span from traditional nu funk and funky breaks to more dancefloor oriented ghetto funk,  future funk and big beat as well as hip hop with a glitch and the more mellow side of the drum ‘n’ bass and nu breaks. The sound of Breakbeat Paradise is driven by an emphatic beat that is intended to form a leitmotif between the releases.

Even though releases from Breakbeat Paradise will be coming from different artists, we always uniform a sound by focusing within the genres of breakbeat.  Collaborators and musicians work close together on our label and we are always ensuring a brand of selective “state of the art“, quality and sound .
