This Fall marks the official 20th Anniversary of Fort Knox Five and to celebrate this milestone, the group has gotten some top tier producers to remix FK5 classics. Hot on the heels of The Allergies remix of 'Insight' is UK breaks 'n' Bass maestro Krafty Kuts, taking on the ultimate Fort Knox Five anthem 'The Brazilian Hipster.' Krafty does the impossible and injects the retro swagger of the original with some seriously fat beats and bass turning it into a dance floor monster!

Often it's just one song that comes to define an artist, becoming their marquee track. For Fort Knox Five that track is 'The Brazilian Hipster.' The tune became an instant sensation and party hit, appearing on the famed Hotel Costes collection and the soundtrack to the Academy Award-winning documentary 'The Cove.'

The hatted man is back to Breakbeat Paradise Recordings! Once again, the Twitch streaming maestro has sat down and taken the producer chair... and the result has just arrived as the tune for the October Powerhour Free Download!

You can be sure, the hip-hop vibes are rooted deep down when it comes to Dal Platinum. It’s no other way this time either: ‘Goo On Down’ is heavily armed with tricky sampling, a marching flow on the groove and respectful vocal recycling. True b-boy material - one could say to put it simple!

Having finished a classic groove-a-dellic rework on Nasa Funk’s remix EP for BBP late last year, we kept on making plans with the man from South East UK. Ideas came back and forth, many music solutions were on the table... let us tease you all with some future insight of a crispy 2 sided black vinyl! With the epic funky debut EP from Sonale dropping earlier this year - we just had to invite him back for a second EP drop. Ill Vibes EP consists of 4 ultra funky badboy bangers of progressive funky breaks with lots og big basslines and smooth funky grooves.
Outside the catchy funk flows these bangers are providing a danceable 4-to-the-floor beat structure, while still staying true to the breaks and sticking in the sweet spot for midtempo bangers that the Ghetto Funk scene is firmly built on.
Perfect example of that is the title tune: Ill Vibe which kicks things off with a steady banging beat and some classic rap vocal cuts. Keep It Funky picks up the tempo and the party grooves with some fresh vibes and vocoder vocals. I Want You brings things back to the low-slung midtempo arrangements while keeping the funky grooves in the forefront before slamming on some heavy duty ghetto basslines. 𝓢𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓮, the free rider of breaks has just opened the doors again to our office at 𝙱𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚔𝚋𝚎𝚊𝚝 𝙿𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚜𝚎 𝚁𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚛𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜 - and we've got even two solid tunes arriving from him this time! Therefore, we was thinking it would be time to give away two free downloads in this December episode of our ℙ𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝔽𝕣𝕖𝕖 𝔻𝕠𝕨𝕟𝕝𝕠𝕒𝕕 series. 

Keeping us all funky as usually, 𝓢𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓮 makes sure that the groove is in our heart... the tune called "𝐺𝑟𝑜𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝐼𝑠 𝐼𝑛" takes the original club classic and transfers it to a brand new dimension with a unique, chopped arrangement and happy, wobbly, fat bass-line... Meanwhile, the track namely "𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐼𝑠 𝐴 𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑦" treats the original with respect and is being measured with crushing drums, crunchy bass and extra musical elements like some added saxophone-action topping the vibes. 

The man working from South Africa, had quite productive a year so far. Having done and participated in several releases on 𝙱𝙱𝙿, 𝓢𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓮 had been finding the time to deliver suiting songs on several independent music labels in 2023. We are happy to announce our collaboration keeps on working with him in 2024 as well. Watch this space, 𝓢𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓮 is one of those artists worth being looked upon!

Founded by Boe Pedersen (Dj BadboE) in Denmark, and now based in Florida. The label originates from the music website Breakbeat Paradise that has been running since 1996. Breakbeat Paradise is dedicated to breakers and electronic musicians within the style of music that we can loosely term as breakbeat. Developing and improving this website over the last 10 years to include everything from visitor music sharing, annual breakbeat contests, samplekits and discussion forum. We felt that going into digital music distribution would be a natural next step.

The music material on the Breakbeat Paradise website has over 1000 pieces of music. Breakbeat Paradise Recordings will  pick up the very best  “cream of the crop”, artists  and tunes and release them as digital downloads through Breakbeat Paradise Recordings  collaborative partners . We found digital distribution would match perfect with our cutting-edge funky breakbeat music and the fastest way from  the streets – to the listener and dancefloor!

With only exclusive vinyl and digital releases , we are always focused on the most important thing for us – the music! 

The music will span from traditional nu funk and funky breaks to more dancefloor oriented ghetto funk,  future funk and big beat as well as hip hop with a glitch and the more mellow side of the drum ‘n’ bass and nu breaks. The sound of Breakbeat Paradise is driven by an emphatic beat that is intended to form a leitmotif between the releases.

Even though releases from Breakbeat Paradise will be coming from different artists, we always uniform a sound by focusing within the genres of breakbeat.  Collaborators and musicians work close together on our label and we are always ensuring a brand of selective “state of the art“, quality and sound .

We will devote ourselves to deliver the phattest, funkiest and the biggest grooves to be found out there...
