A cosmic event so minuscule and rapid that it is unsure as to whether it even occurred at all. This was the precursor to the formation of String Theory. A group and its self titled album comprised of Epidemic's Hex One and Swedish beat maker Boom Bappin' Zombie Darney. Only outside the realms of a structured paradigm can such a happening even begin to be analyzed. So too only under these conditions can it be formed. With concepts ranging from the abstract to the concrete, this anomaly in space time, this rift in the conscious fabric of reality, this naked singularity attempts to answer the basic human question: who are we really? The ambiguity of the universe's many laws is what drives this question, as every soul on this plane is searching for their own personal theory of everything. We ride it's intergalactic currents, weaving between supposed realities and lucid dreams, only to reminisce on how beautiful it all used to be. A graceful marriage between multilayered resonance and the seemingly forgotten art of rap. The inception of this body of work blurs the notion of identifying it as an album, as it is
simply a juncture made possible by infinitely specific circumstances, without which, String Theory would never have existed at all.

If we are a simulation, then in the ways that matter to us... we are real enough.

"For this episode I decided to use nothing but 
vocals from Black Thought and Malik B of the Roots. 
It's kind of a mini tribute to one of the greatest rap 
groups of all time. I chose to use these vocals because 
I've always been a huge fan of the Roots and because I'm 
getting really excited about dropping the album 
"Unpredictable" with Malik B.

If you watch to 2:00 minutes you will see that I invented a new
way to rock the (digital) turntables. Have you ever seen somebody pick
their turntables up and play them like a guitar before? Now you have.

Now based in Kansas, Cali rapper and ex Guerilla War Tactix member Matt Maddox is hitting the ground running in 2014

With his first solo album in 4 years "Righteous Fury" due to release on February 25th, he will also be busy on the road. Scheduled to appear at SXSW, tour with Slaughterhouse and further plans to tour the UK and Europe all by the late Spring, he's kicking the year off with the release of the new single "Street Art".

Produced by Skammadix with quality turntablism courtesy of fellow Red Phone labelmate TMB, Maddox is joined on the mic by Queensborough veteran Tragedy Khadafi, as they take it in turns to verbally tear into the beat like knives through butter.

The album also includes features from King Magnetic, Reef The Lost Cauze, Swann and the UK's Edd Bundy, with further production supplied by a host of names including Snowgoons' Sicknature, C Lance (Jedi Mind Tricks), Vanderslice, Nemesis and many more. Releases through Red Phone Records / Seven 13 Music. Definitely a name to watch this year.
