TENSION [WIP]

Lack of connection and fear contribute to "the collective shadow of war," or the shared unconscious aspects of humanity—including biases, fears, and destructive tendencies—that contribute to conflict and violence. 

This concept, rooted in Carl Jung's psychology, suggests that individuals and entire societies project their own internal darkness outward, creating an "us vs. them" mentality that fuels warfare. Western separatist psychological thought and practice has been criticized for promoting disconnection from nature by treating the natural world as a separate object for scientific or economic exploitation. 

Addressing this collective shadow requires self-reflection, recognizing these hidden elements, and engaging in "indigenous shadow work" to foster awareness, social responsibility, and a conscious effort to avoid repeating historical horrors to escape the maze—it's often hard for individuals, communities, and countries to realize that they are the monster in their story.
