Synthetik Sounds Unveils Star-Studded Compilation to Support LA Fire Relief Efforts

Los Angeles, CA – January 27, 2025 – Los Angeles techno label Synthetik Sounds is proud to announce the release of a powerful 39-track Various Artists compilation featuring an extraordinary lineup of global techno talent. In a time of urgent need, 100% of proceeds from the compilation will be donated to LA Fire Relief Funds, supporting communities affected by the devastating wildfires that created havoc in the Los Angeles area in January 2025.
In January 2025, the Palisades and Eaton wildfires in Los Angeles County burned over 37,000 acres, destroyed more than 16,000 structures, caused at least 29 fatalities, and led to the evacuation of over 200,000 residents, affecting many in the underground techno and house community in our city.

When we asked artists to contribute to a V/A release to help our community, we found ourselves overwhelmed by the amount of support we received.

This monumental release unites over 40 cutting-edge artists, all contributing their signature sounds to this meaningful cause. From techno veterans to rising stars, the compilation is a showcase of boundary-pushing artistry and the unity of the electronic music community.

Synthetik Sounds co-founder, Marco Sgalbazzini, stated, “The recent wildfires have had a devastating impact on our local communities here in Los Angeles. This compilation is our way of giving back, using the universal power of music to bring aid, hope, and resilience to those affected. We are incredibly grateful to the artists who donated their music and to our fans who will support this release. When we began reaching out to artists we envisioned putting together a 12-15 track compilation, but as word got out we found ourselves overwhelmed by support from artists and friends all over the world who wanted to contribute and make a difference in helping LA and its people. The result is a 39-track compilation showcasing the diversity of techno’s soundscapes, and just how much both  LA as a city and its techno community are loved by people all over the world.”

ANNĒ is a key figure in Greece’s techno scene, fully dedicated to her craft as a DJ and producer. Her sound is shaped by strong influences from Detroit and the raw energy of ’90s and ’00s techno.

Her DJ sets are high-energy and dynamic, designed to create a deep connection with the dance floor. As a producer, she has released on respected labels like Hardgroove, Symbolism, Mutual Rytm, NECHTO, CROWD, and Soma Records. Her tracks are regularly played and charted by major artists, and with multiple vinyl releases and collaborations on the horizon, she continues to push forward.

For this special mix for our BCCO x ÜBERKIKZ takeover for International Women's Day, ANNĒ has curated a selection of tracks by talented FLINTA* producers, highlighting their exceptional work. The journey begins with deeper, introspective sounds before building into a vibrant, groovy energy. A departure from her usual style, this mix allowed her to explore new directions while keeping the flow dynamic.

Despite her relatively short DJ career, she has already shared the stage with artists like Dax J, Chlär, Frederic, Parfait, Echoes of October, Eli Brown, Tigerhead, and many more. Quick to adapt and unafraid to explore new musical directions, she gravitates towards groovy, hypnotic, and broken rhythms, always pushing her sound forward.

This mix goes beyond three-deck mixing—it’s about curating a cohesive, forward-thinking vision. A fusion of soundscapes, trippy atmospheres, and a constant, driving rhythm, it pushes the boundaries of groove and intensity. Featuring an unreleased track by Bailey Ibbs alongside her own production, she seamlessly weaves personal elements into the mix while maintaining its high-energy, hypnotic flow.

BCCO Mix Series 541: somnifobia

Rocko Garoni has been socialised by Bremen's Drum 'n Bass scene and the Berlin Techno from the late 90s. Well experienced, he transfers his sounds into future - raw, trippy and driving.

He kicked off his journey in the early 2000s as a DnB vinyl DJ, mixing breaks with Techno, creating a unique energy that shakes every dancefloor. His vibe is infectious, his sound unmistakable.

While leaving his mark on almost every puzzle piece in the scene, Rocko also started as a music producer. During the last five years he turned his sound to his favorite likes: deep, trippy, and  relentless. As a gear freak Rocko discovers always a new way to create his kind of Techno.

As a resident DJ at Glitch Festival, Yazmin has graced the stages of various renowned events, sharing her distinctive sound with crowds locally and internationally. 

In addition to her DJ sets, Yazmin has released music on respected labels such as Skryptom, Liberta Records, and Subsist, which has played a pivotal role in cementing her reputation. With a passionate commitment to creativity, Yazmin consistently pushes the boundaries of her craft, showcasing her versatility and artistry in every performance.
