As one of the original members of rave collective Fast Forward, Schacke is a poster child for the Copenhagen scene: an arcadian playground complete with its own sound, codes and likely soon, diaspora. The DJ/Producer’s boundary-pushing output takes cues from metal, noise, hard trance, techno, you name it, though these stylistic distinctions are maybe less important than Schacke’s grander mission, one of providing ‘simulation therapy’ by way of getting ravers to enter a ‘kind of virtual reality’ in shared space. A few weeks back, the Danish wunderkind packed their gear and did just that, regaling party-goers with a taste of Denmark in Tbilisi. This one’s a live recording of Schacke’s set at Horoom, one of the club’s longest parties to date, a 12 hour set packed with fun and mercurial beats.

Almost a year after her appearance at our RIDE party series, we welcome Berlin Based DJ and Producer High Future back on RIDE FM. Coming from Seoul, South Korea, High Future made her self a name by combining different styles of electronic music while playing high energetic and intense Techno rooted sets. Her sound made her well known in the Techno scene and eventually she became the resident of Copenhagen’s legendary Ved Siden Af. The mix is a blend of new things I've made, and artists that caught my attention. Some things I was listening to in pandemic times and a few things that are very dear to me. I chose to depart from techno halfway through the mix and I got to play some music I don't usually get to play, that inspires me almost endlessly. I wanted to play with the way I mixed it and I chose to use a computer, purists be warned. But this way I can do all kinds of interesting spectral manipulation, I hope to explore this more in the future, as I felt like I only scratched the surface.

Peachlyfe (they/them) 
is a hydra-sonic electronic musician that shook & seduced the Copenhagen fast-paced techno scene, claiming their seat along with the Fast Forward Agency.
Peachlyfe’s productions and live-sets rebelliously weave across genres, trippy melodies cut with heavy slaps while slithering whispers in your ear sowing the dismantlement of the ‘cistem’. Their previous EPs “All Tits are Real, All Money is Fake, All Hail Satan”  and “Swamplyfe” are odes to anarchic-playfulness, a marvellous feat in blending rave-rush joy and queer defiance.

Our 54th podcast comes from @Vel_musique, who is a Moroccan artist living in Lyon and sharing her passion for music with the local scene as part of the French crew Club Le Sucre. With a vast gamut of inspirations, one thing is sure here: groove is king. Latent dynamism, seamless 4/4 transitions, sometimes toying with chopped vocals and deep rhythms, Schacke’s sense for music is both sweet and brainy. Until the next one, hats off to you Schacke.
